People always neglect to mention that the majority of those 100 people were Live events staff that had been paid for a year with no work and were laid off when they finally decided no live events in the near future.
They also got a great severance package, they weren’t left high and dry.

I was already leaning on the holiday season.
Then you must dislike WoW equally because it’s pay-to-win…you can literally buy your way to the top of WoW right now if you had the cash to do so.
It is one of the worst things about it.
They got a three-month severance package and a 200 gift card to it blizzard pc game store…
But that doesn’t take away from what I said to that other person I was responding to

This isn’t surprising to me. Blizzard needs to get their s together. I was the game’s #3 biggest shill behind Clark and Yesuna, and even I’m over there playing FF14 now. I still like WoW as a game much more, I just feel kind of bleh playing it right now considering everything going on.

Nah I’m done playing games for awhile. I’m just going to watch tv and do gardening things and drink and cook.
This online world has gotten too messed up for me. China hacking america, america hacking china. Corporate america making too much money to even care.
Censorship on something, but not other things. Its like its gone from freedom, creativity and living in our own sperate world to being just another corporate communist shthole.
I’ll just do something else.
I doubt WoW development has been officially put on hold or something like that.
Have you ever worked in a company where something ground shaking has happened? Productivity all but completely stops as the employees worry about, and discuss, what is, and what could possibly, happen.
I’m sure that’s what the tweet is referring to.

I think this whole thing has the potential to be good for the game. They’ve been needing something to wake them up to what they’ve been doing. The players sure haven’t been able to get through so maybe the state will.
To me this explains so much of the characterizations of Sylvanas, Tyrande and Jaina to a certain extent. All three major lore figures, in fact the only major female ones (unless I’m forgetting someone) and all three have had “episodes” of emotional outbursts of some kind. Jaina’s purging of Dalaran was the only one that’s made since. Tyrande’s never have and just when it looked like they might do something cool… uh, no turns out its not. Sylvanas just seems hysterical at times.
But the biggest thing I’m curious about is who is actually going to address this at something like BlizzCon and what are they going to say. If its Brack again they might as well just blow the torpedo up in the hull before sending it out. I’m betting he doesn’t survive this and I can’t imagine anyone else from Blizzard itself taking it at this stage with so much speculation about who knew what.
I’m hoping this will turn out to be a good thing for the company. But by god I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a mess happening in front of me.
Every quests is now Thrall unable to figure out how to use a weapon.
But yeah anyway, looks like we’re in for another long haul.
Kind of sucks, i get they need to clean house and review some policies (and a new HR department). Hopefully once that’s figured out they’ll come back stronger.

Definitely pulled all their ads from youtube and google and yahoo and anything else online.
They did finally make me a red robe after 7 years of not making anything red, so I won’t be too hard on them, but they stink.

Its a case of the guy needing ur vote (monthly subscribe) and once they got ur vote, they just do whatever they want with it.
Which is fine, until its not. Then the gamers(voters) wonder why and the executives(people in office) sit on their ill-gotten monies and don’t even care.
Then something radical ends up happening.
Love it.
They have an expansion and patch already in the works… it’s never a singular effort.
They have many workers who only work on WoW.
What are they going to do, move them to Overwatch for a few weeks? That isn’t how it works.
Their totally revamping how housing is sold, everyone gets an apartment, and their adding housing plots for all the WoW refugees.
I’ve had an opposite experience. There’s all sorts of people doing all sorts of things. Emote dance-off contest in Aleport last week, Random invites to FC house parties, and like you said there are gatherers and levelers… If I join a farm group knocking out FATEs to grind up some alternate classes and we have a great time of it I consider that a win.
Go hop into Ashenvale forest and /1 to see if anyone wants to level up with you. I bet there will be either no reply or “Go Back to Classic!”
