WoW Development Stalled

Much like you I suppose.

My thoughts on this are that development should continue and the company nor the players should suffer because of the actions of some.

Precisely. Fine with giving Employees a few weeks off to catch their breath. If they don’t return to work after a week or two, fire them and hire new people; because at that point they are simply taking advantage of a bad situation. This isn’t kindergarten where you get a special square to yourself. This is a place where you are paid for work you do.

If you can’t understand that one person’s experience does not negate dozens of other people’s experience then you should probably stop attempting to interject yourself into a conversation that is intellectually above your pay grade.

Actually I don’t need to provide “proof”. You are the one making unsupported claims about how wonderful it was back in the good old days, which we actually know were times when women couldn’t get jobs in this industry no matter how qualified. Not to mention that the lawsuit is full of references to specific violations.

So I don’t need to “prove” anything to someone who believes that labor law violations were what made videogames great.

Intellectually you seem to be the one with the problem, if all you have is insults. I never once said that anyone’s experiences should be negated. I did say that we should be wary about rushing to judgment. I’m all for action, but only when the action results in a full understanding of the facts and a verdict that truly makes the victims whole, and punishes the guilty.

Perhaps what I said about false accusations resembled your own past a bit too much? No clue, something made your resource go from logic to insanity. Oh well, whatever works.

If you are hell-bent on behave like a contemptuous fool who can’t have an honest conversation, then I guess I am done responding to you. Just know that you have no control or power over what is going to happen. It’s between the State and Blizzard now.

You absolutely do. Burden of proof is always on the accuser. Whether that is you or the State. Try to keep up eh? Hard I suppose for a Tauren. What’s their brain mass size, a whiffle-ball I think?

Never once said that.

Was your great strategy to simply keep lying in the hope people eventually will believe it? Guess so. Two for ignore, ready to go. Wanted a solid convoy, but some people be mighty slow.

Hello, this is precisely the conclusion I’m reaching. Regardless of the outcome of the pending litigation, innocent players who did no wrong and innocent staff who did no wrong should not be suffering for the alleged actions of a few. I hope to see World of Warcraft weather the storm, and fortunately they have the right man at the helm in Ion Hozzikostas to make that happen. WoW and its players will prevail.

We both know there’s going to be countless mobs of psychology staying with the game who have a self-hating mentality and who will spin the lie that because we chose to stay, watch the facts and pray that innocent players and staff are not injured because of a few bad apples; it makes us somehow complicit in the behavior of those bad actors.

Others will try to ramble that because we point out that in many people’s experience such conduct has been the exception, and not the norm; we are somehow negating other people’s experiences which is frankly both false and idiotic at best.

One thing Ahnohla got right, is that complex thoughts are above such people’s pay-grade.

Blaming everyone and trying to burn the company down for the actions of a few bad eggs is asinine and completely unhelpful.

It’ll get sorted. Luckily by people with more sense than you.

I just want World of Warcraft to burn and turn to ashes.

Guess you picked the right race if you wanted to burn.

Damn right I did.
I am just sad that there are not a nicely toasted skin option available.

Sorry, can’t say I’ve ever blown half my paycheck commuting to work and then had my friends eulogize it (on the WoW forums!!!) like I was some kind of troop. “Thank you for your service, SIR. You spent half your check on gas, SIR.”

kekw

A lot of us have been saying that since before 9.1 because of how long it took

Actually no he is not the creator of WoW . That would be Rob Pardo , Jeff Kaplan and Tom Chilton . GC joined Blizzard in 2008 and left in 2013

I like to believe victims. That being said, because I am choosing to believe the victims, the allegations are horrifying.

My thoughts about WoW development being stalled?

That’s fine.

The first stance that I took on this matter is one that I will stay true to. I want Blizzard to sort this out. I want to see the house cleaned out. If that means we get major delays in content delivery while this happens? So be it.

No 9.2 until July 2022? That’s fine.
No 10.0 until 2023/2024? That’s also fine.

I’m honestly proud of the developers at Blizzard who are standing up and not only saying that none of what happened is acceptable, but are also speaking out against the corporate statements that have come out of Fran Townsend’s office, both of which have been total disasters as far as messaging goes.

i have been playing this game for over half of my life.

I don’t recognize your opinion on how I should feel about it as relevant.

What makes him any different?.

If you’re all gonna dogpile on Mike then Ion’s been there seeing it for how long now, and also didn’t say anything or help?.

This is my first post to these forums in months, not logged in since late jan early feb but read through it at least once a day, and you are doing far more harm to this company you love so very dearly than the “tupac” alt did.

the lawsuit is ongoing. why are the forum crusaders not waiting for the verdict?
