WoW Development Stalled

I agree ridiculous lol. What really needs to happen is Activision move Blizzard outside of California, that way they can fire anyone they want under the pretense of ‘new location sorry pal’. Staying in California is the ultimate expression of surrender. The state does not want to work with them personally, regardless of how much tax Blizzard’s paid, the state couldn’t care less and this issue will never die unless Blizzard can restructure and purge the cancer and drama queens - each bad as one another when it comes to productivity.

Anyway, extremely realistic, moving computers is easy compared to other industries, there is no gigantic machinery to worry about or infrastructure like clean rooms and assembly lines.

Ah sorry, I forgot to mention you. Let’s have a discussion. Don’t you think I would be the best Captain of Blizzard? I would beckon a new Blizzard golden age.

Like the devs have any reason to help with damage control. They took a day and will be right back into the thick of it.

The BU and legal department do the damage control…

People post like that’s all blizzard is… DEVs please takes a lot more then the people actually doing the work… God for all we know it was marketing and management doing the dirty…

WoW need to go the FF14 route, just delete the game, get rid of the people they need to get rid of, and start over. This time, listen to the community, well at least the ones that give constructive feed back, and less touching people without permission.

Might as well just play FFXIV then.

Maybe keep Ion in charge of raid/Dungeons ect, where he excels. Then bring in someone new, and passionate to work on PVP, and a game director with similar passion to Yoshi P- for the game as a whole?

I know you’re sick of 14 comparisons- but it stunk when released and was totally reformed ( by looking to WOW for inspiration!) so WOW can do it too.

As for losing a raid tier- how about just lose a few millions in bonus from Bobby and pay someone to polish all aspects of the game?

Nope. The issue is that they were already working on minimal, ie skeleton staffing and pushing current issues that needed working on into the future. Now a lot of people have unexpectedly left at all levels, and most of those who are left are not in a position to reorganize the workforce.

Blizzard has an industry reputation of being glacially slow to respond to need for changes, with a bureaucratic structure that prevents changes from happening in a timely manner. I’m picturing in my mind right now certain management employees using this as a springboard to consolidate their territorial control within the company.

They were already seriously short-handed before this happened. They had an employment ad out that said they were hiring many people in all jobs. Now they’ll have even more trouble filling those pre-existing openings, plus new ones as more will leave on their own.

The “leak” that so many people worked so hard to portray as a “hoax”… It was probably genuine.

I said that SL was the last expansion before this lawsuit because it’s time. Now with this going on there is zero reason to have another expansion. Just do WotLK Classic put out a few patches for SL then when everything settles start working on a new MMO or game by 2024 ish.

They cannot run away from this. They are culpable, and relocating will probably result in a much larger settlement.

There is no state where their employment practices over the past decade would have been considered acceptable.

I think you would only further enhance and glorify the despicable actions they currently stand for.

What you “like” is unequal opportunity, sexual harassment, cube crawls, males playing videogames while assigning their work to female subordinates, and supervisors free to pressure their female underlings into “affairs” and then pass around nude photos of their genitals at an office party? Hello? Are you a human being?

I think using “we” is pushing it beyond the pale.

This.

I’m hoping for a Rise from the ashes type of thing. I have a few friends who want Blizzard to die but I want this version of them to die.

For awhile Blizzard has been operating off of one thing- Arrogance. We can see it in how they treat their players, and unfortunately it looks like it their employeees, especially the women who worked for them suffered from it as well.

I think it’s time to clean house and really focus on making this game better. If that means this Expansion and the next Quarter have to fail miserably? Fine.

I just hope that the people who are not responsible for this mess aren’t hurt.

And who has been saying that Shadowlands would be another WoD? lololol

I didn’t know the dev team was also the legal counsel. Lmfao such an unprofessional company. You guys need a bar rescue to come in and clean out all the dirt because you guys are trash I really do hope this is the nail in your coffin. Only reason I came back is because a friend bought me the expansion to play. Anyways. RIP stitches. Took you like 3 months longer than it should have to release a patch that basically had jack $hit and you hot fix things that help us yet can’t fix bugs that have been around since launch of it. You’re trash. Dueces!

While I will happily acknowledge cancel culture exists, this isn’t really cancel culture happening with Blizzard, unless you think the crap that’s been going on within Blizzard shouldn’t be “cancelled”. Which would speak volumes about you.

I haven’t?

So I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make.

What i think is that something that was probably benign (someone coming to the office hing over for example) is probably being blown way out of proportion to creat a very broad case of “bad behavior” than can easily tug on the emotions of the public opinion.

I once had a woman coworker attack me in front of a room full of coworkers and when i accidentally toucher her with then pen that was in my hand as i turned around to confront her abuse run to the boss to claim i tried to stab her with it.

People, including women, lie.

why is it always human paladins who are the absolute worst?

You’re psychotic and no surprise, victim blaming. Your remark is “that it’s the women’s fault, she blew it out of proportion! How come she wouldn’t just let the guy touch her??”

You’re a menace, I hope you know that, I’m glad you’re a dying breed.

Anyone who has been on this forum for a while knows many have posted about that.

Again, what’s your point?

Like what are you trying to say? The expansion is as bad as WoD?
