Blizzard servers are different now than the sort they used in 2006, so that could be the issue. Maybe they did the setup by the numbers, but because the systems are different the numbers don’t actually relate.
Private servers tend to care more about the experience and less about the actual numbers, this is why many have tuned raid bosses so that the experience is more inline with “Vanilla”.
You keep saying it, and yet its not true based on pservers that use the original client and the original 400 ms batching values just like original vanilla did. Said pservers managed to use batching while having zero complaints about it from the playerbase, while offering exactly the same things batching allowed in original vanilla without feeling sluggish.
You linking videos from 2006 in 4:3 format when the internet was trash for literally everyone; does not mean batching works like this. They recreated the 2006 experience from batching and not batching itself. Also we have been over this, they stated themselves they use multiple loops instead of one continous one. So the 1.13 batching is just a recreation.
But keep insisting they did it right, when their “competitors” also managed to deliver batching without the playerbase hating it.
Ahh yes, the archaic action processing system from 2006 was just flawless, obviously. There’s a reason they put so much effort into improving it around WoD. Spell batching is awful, it was always awful and they recreated it perfectly for Classic, and that’s why it’s awful.
Sorry you aren’t getting it going forward, the majority are happy to see it gone.
Again you keep ignoring the main argument. 1.12 and batching exists outside of blizzard and was working just fine for everybody. Its only in 1.13 and blizzards recreation that people disliked it.
Except for how it didn’t because it literally wasn’t the same spell batching used in vanilla. They just took the modern engine and slapped 400 ms timing onto it instead of 1 MS and shockingly it didn’t work well.
And? All spell batching sucks regardless even if some pservers made it suck less.
Blizzard said one of the advantages of going to the modern server engine was the technology improvements it offered. They should have stuck to that when it came to batching instead of trying to cludge batching back in just to appease a handful of people trying to pretend it was skill based.
No it does not. Batching is necessary for an authentic feel of vanilla. Its just people who have no idea that think whatever they delivered us here had to be “batching”. Its not.
Because the dev team took #nochanges way too seriously for the first half of Classic and refused to implement changes to the game even when they were widely asked for. Only recently have they changed their stance on this and been willing to make common sense changes to improve the player experience, such as the recent fix to hunter AP buffs.
You don’t know what the primary goal of #NOCHANGES means to make such a silly comment. I wish you folks would stop trying to speak on what #NOCHANGES means when you have no real clue and just like to make stuff up.
