Nope it’s luck which is why it’s not actually consistent.
" It’s not impossible. I used to bullseye womp rats in my T-16 back home, they’re not much bigger than two meters"
Not with 400 MS batching you don’t
This guy gets it. If someone cherry picks all their good videos of COURSE you’ll only see them that way. if they left in the 3/4 of the time they didn’t pull it off you’d not give a crap who they were, right?
can we get this patch tomorrow ?
You’re clueless.
There are videos of Neilyo doing it from the other player’s PoV (duel videos vs. woundman, akrios, and others) so where are the clips of him screwing it up???
It’s so pathetic how small minded and incapable players must insist that others are only pulling off the amazing due to “luck” because you cannot conceive of a higher skill cap than the plateau you are personally stuck at.
It’s funny how CrazyMage joined the forum just to like your posts! It’s also really convenient that they like your posts immediately after you make them. Sure is a lot of support for your viewpoint! /s
Baseless accusations are a form of witch hunt which is against the forum rules. It qualifies as trolling as well since it’s meant to antagonize and it’s completely off topic to the discussion.
Let’s let the forum moderators decide if they think there is any merit to your little theory.
And in the future, stay on topic (spell batching) and don’t try to change the subject just because you are losing the argument so badly.
I didn’t accuse you of anything. If you want to stay on topic, perhaps a little less volatility in your posts would help! Maybe you could take your own advice and stop breaking the forum rules?
What argument? There is no argument here. There’s you claiming that Classic WoW is some sort of turn based strategy RPG, and then there’s me factually stating that Vanilla batching makes the game unresponsive and random.
They’re fixing their mistake and that’s that.
It’s plain as day what you are trying to insinuate.
But let’s get back to the points you have completely failed to address:
It’s just like I said before: it’s truly pathetic how some players will deny the skill and accomplishments of others and call it “luck” just because you can’t conceive of any skill cap beyond the plateau where you are personally stuck.
So, you think a game with a 1-1.5 second GCD is not turned based? How cute.
Insinuation is not synonymous with accusation.
I never said anything about Neilyo and “luck.” Please stop accusing me of saying things I didn’t, thanks.
More personal attacks. I’m sufficiently skilled at this game and have been around 2300 rating in every single season I’ve played on multiple classes from TBC all the way to BfA, despite only playing with friends and playing very few games.
Archaic spell batching is awful, it makes the game less enjoyable to play. It’s going away, that’s a good thing and most people agree with that.
Seriously now, your reasoning behind this game being turn based is a 1-1.5 second GCD? lol
Dude, there is a reason that the top PvP guild was for a while called “scripted pvp” and the pvp tournament league is called “GCDTV”. In the hands of players who know what they are doing, it is essentially a turn based game where the ability to read & predict is more important than reaction speed. Lots of players are too ignorant to understand this, but that doesn’t change the factual reality.
This has nothing to do with anything. Your modest ratings achievements are totally irrelevant to the core of the discussion here.
Most people have absolutely no idea what spell batching even is. Hell, most people in this thread don’t even understand what it is and how it works.
They know that it makes the game unresponsive. They know that their abilities don’t function as intended because of it. That’s all they need to know.
Every game has a limit to how fast you can attack or use abilities. The GCD does not make this a turn based game. I challenge you to find ANYONE that thinks it does.
Literally any gladiator/R1 player understands this fact very well.
Vanilla has ALWAYS worked this way, so how is it unintended? Blizzard specifically did extra work when making classic to restore accurate batching behavior, when it would have been less work for them to use the retail 1-10ms tick rate instead.
Vanilla is already an easy game. There is no need to nerf it even more for the sake of bad players who didn’t understand the situation and take appropriate action until they were within 1 batch duration of catastrophe.
Removing batches increases the skill cap as it reduces randomness.
Removing batches increases the skill cap as it reduces randomness.
Like I said, you don’t even understand batching, nor do you understand the proposed changes.
They aren’t removing batches, they are changing the frequency/period of batches to be about 40x more frequent than they already are.
This is a huge nerf to the difficulty of the game because it gives players extra time to respond on average.
Classic is already an easy game, it doesn’t need this wholly arbitrary inauthentic/retail-like nerf.
LoL it just means you won’t be able to RNG out of spells. That raises the skill cap as you will now have to proactively avoid things. To bad so sad for all the bad rogues who thought batching had anything to do with skill.
You haven’t effectively grappled with any of my arguments, you just keep repeating circular logic and changing the subject. Honestly you would benefit from taking a class on how to debate.
