They should delete characters after 12 months, having seasonality to WoW would be a landmark accomplishment for the franchise. Instead of just making infinite alts and going through that unending 1-20 something that happens on most progressed servers, once every year you’ll get a chance to start with everyone again when everything is popping off, when people need each other again.

I think it’ll be a fantastic variation to the permanence that WoW has clung so desperately to all these years, even though it begins to lag their game, incentivizes them to make terrible borrowed power systems to reduce player power bloat, forces them to scale the world and its mobs down, create independent leveling systems to solve leveling issues brought up by the ever increasing amount of outmoded content, squish stats and damage down, and massacre the game world.

Be open to trying it and maybe you’ll like it?

Clarified my comment in an effort to be more clear :slight_smile:

Some of you guys have to change your mindset. In classic we were all aiming to get our full BiS or close to it. This time around loot will be more scarce, pick and choose your most wanted pieces and don’t stress out about getting every single piece of loot that’s listed online as your ‘most optimal’.

I disengaged when I read their post rofl, gear was slim pickings as it was, really killed the motivation to play. Double loot would keep so many more players active I think. More reason to level alts and gear them

I’m really wondering whom they’re trying to appeal to with this ‘faster progression, more challenging content’ philosophy. It seems to me they picked the smallest demographic and crafted the experience for them.

I guess we’ll see.

Yup and calculated out the attempts, and you can apply the drop rate chances and clearly see blizzard needs to increase drop rates, increase number of items per boss, or reduce raid lockout to 2 twice a week like ZG.

This is great to see Blizz, thanks for the update. I really hope you maintain this level of communication with this community throughout the beta and onwards through SoM launch.

I honestly feel like this is such a unique opportunity for Blizzard to really “perfect” their game - and it’s great they’ve been taking community feedback onboard and applying this to their game design and design philosophy as a whole. Keep it up! There’s some great requests that are coming out of the community that I haven’t seen have a lot of push back from other players, namely some gentle class balances (to make certain classes/spec viable in raid) and the consideration for a gentle increas in loot per boss to tie in with the fast tracked phase pattern. The key word being gentle.

in all the hype and anticipation of wow classic, I heard numerous versions of the following:

  • Can’t wait to kill Ony! I hope Vis’kag drops!
  • Alterac Valley was epic, lasted for days!
  • I gotta show you Rag’s feet. :smile:
  • Gates of AQ was epic, can’t wait to not lag out this time!
  • Determined this time around to see Naxx!

But never, ever, out of all the gamers, IRL, discord, streamers, community…endless…no one ever said

“i can’t wait to raid with world buffs”

For the PVE player i think SOM has a lot to offer.
For the PVPer i worry that it does not. It might seem really really hard to hit any decent rank until after the pvp gear is beaten by gear obtained in raids. It might result in many folks not participating and therefore making pvp gear aquisition not worth it or unobtainable resulting in very little to no pvp in bgs for example .

ah yes the challenge now is to hope you get lucky to have good gear in an extremely short time period between patches

The PvP Honor System

Achieving Rank 14 in original World of Warcraft was always meant to be a prestigious accomplishment that few players obtained. We feel that maintaining that level of prestige is important, and we’ve got to consider how it will play out with the Honor system active from the moment Season of Mastery launches. This is especially difficult, considering how powerful the Honor gear is for many classes.

We’ve read many great suggestions from players on how we could improve this system. We’re currently discussing what we could do to fit our goals for Season of Mastery.

Are they joking Is perstigious or are they really serious did they not see what happened on phase 2 Servers literally died in in a period of week.

Is 45% servers 60 went to 1 99 Did they not see the Spam reporting the toxicity all the problems that this causes are they joking Seriously just make an honor cap system ranks 1 through 10 10000 11 in 12 50000 Is 13 200000 Is 14 500000 As far as the per stage fine add a rank 15 and use that for the bracket system.

There’s your per stage right there there’s your title in mount put that in As far as the power goes here’s a thought don’t give us the epic pvp gear at lunch.

Give it to us during AQ Buff the blue pee pee gear and add weapons equivalent to ZG.

Seriously solved I mean I don’t understand what this is so hard really ?
