Why? East Coast servers are based in Chicago which is Central Time.
But there going to change the realm time to EST right? Or else why would they even call them EST…

Wait until we get the Realmlist info, then we can ping and traceoute their locations.

Why such low expectations? I have to assume the tests produced lower population than it appeared or new sub numbers were low?
Can you please have 2 PvP servers for oceanic. I want a PvP alliance AND horde toon. Obviously can’t have them on the one server. We need at a minimum 1 PvP for alliance toons 1 PvP for horde toons and 1 PvE for those that don’t PvP.

An alternative argument would be that the majority of the populace lives on one of the coasts and that there was no intended slight. This becomes even more apparent when you open your eyes to the location of the East Coast server which is ……Chicago, Central Time Zone.
And not just a single month sub but an ongoing one since they spaced out their testing to cover several months.

Stoked there are only 2 oceanic servers, there may be some congestion at launch but I think it’s worth it to have the best shot at a long term healthy population

11 realms, not enough. Last i looked there were like 30 realms maybe more for retail. Id be making a backup plan, for 10 more realms if i had a job at blizz!!!

Grrrrrl, have you SEEN this mace? It’s not even 10DPS! Cant even kill a Crystal Lake murlock with this toy.
Don’t know why people are whining about the amount of servers.
11 NA optimized servers with layering is actually several dozen. If they feel the response requires more, they’ll add more.
Why is this hard to figure out?

Say each server has 10 layers at 3K each…that’s 30K players per server.
Plenty of room…just keep adding layers.
Remember…those tourists will leave within a week or two
