I mean, to also be fair, the stress test typically only launched with two servers each time generally, and it was still playable this last round(at initial launch), compared to the 13 they announced here.
If they arenât sharing DCâs with the Retail servers Iâd be highly surprised.
Could have really used a CST server. My guild is pretty spread out across the US.
It would be nice if the say theyâre going to monitor the character creation traffic and may add more servers before launch even happens. Iâm probably going to only create two players and see if the server lists change before launch so I can still make a third if I need to adjust.
Yeah but in 20 minutes the characters are going to be wiped. Why would you keep progressing after capping level last nightâŚ
The two servers were âfullâ until late in the night on US at least.
Grobbbbbbbbbb!
Oh man, part of me actually really likes how that sounds. Letâs go Grobbbbbbbb!!! And the other RP realm will probably just be called BB.
Also, Iâm not too worried about where the realms are hosted. Iâm in EST and have played on WrA since it opened. Never had an issue (YMMV).
Guys, this canât be right. I mean lets just say 5k per server. Thatâs 55k ppl. So fine, throw layering in (which i thought was only suppose to be a launch/phase 1 plan) So maybe 2-3 layers per server. Which means you are anticipating a max of 165k people.
That ainât it chief. Not to mention if you think a +1 server to PVP realms is going to help you havenât been paying attention. You could have done two normal realms and added those to pvp and we still gunna see a mess.
Iâm trying to not type angry, but this just seems negligent. If I am wrong, well damn now i just feel sad.
Greetings fellow central iowan.
Loving the Iowa crowd having a reunion in between the lines here. Go Hawks!
I generally still feel as though the servers will be fine. I even originally had thought theyâd make less. Once everyone spreads out, itâs not going to be so many people, and itâll kill off a lot of people from Classic by the time they hit around lvl 20 Iâd imagine.
I think the only servers that will have problems will be the memer streamer servers.
Someone naming the PvP realms REALLY likes Scarlet MonasteryâŚ
The other big question for PST RP players now is âDo we choose RP-PVP for better ping, or RP for less interferenceâ. And the reverse for EST RP-PVP players.
SAME! and that is exactly why I am not taking off work until the 30th! 4 day weekend between Friday the 30th and Labor day on Monday, September 2nd.
And unless we force them all to join one or two servers, theyâre all going to be memer streamer servers, except for maybe one or two that are densely packed with âstreamer refugeesâ.
Hmm, much ado about nothing going on here. The datacenter location for
each server would be useful information though, especially for a pvp realm. I play on dark iron and it says its west coast but its in the Chicago datacenter
and my ping is too long for valid pvp fights. So, knowing where the server sits
will help everyone decide where to go on launch day. Iâll just assume that
atiesh is located in Chicago as a pst server and whitemane (âNOT white manâ)
will be located in LA.
I guess it depends, but I wouldnât be surprised if most of them go in together. You KNOW theyâre going to want to compete with each other, and some of them are closer friends to one another, so theyâll lump together at the least.
Theyâre going to prefer no queue so they can play, over going in together though. The ClassicCast team will go together, but Asmongold and Swifty are too protective of their team that they donât want streamer competition.
13 servers lol what a joke i bet there were more then that when it orignally launched
I think the queue on the one RP Server is going to be ridiculously high. I dislike random PVP so Iâll go with the RP server regardless but I think they have under estimated the RP population. Iâm Missouri so I guess EST works for me.
Asmongold basically dwarves Swifty in terms of a following though.
