Not really although you do have to calculate timezones for server time a lot when people post events.

Yeah I donāt care about that. I just care about if Iāll have a good ping.
I know, I am so very disappointed in Blizzardā¦ that means they are hoping that only 33,000 concurrent players remain at peak times by the end of phase 1. How disconnected Blizzard isā¦ their stress tests are NO indication of how many will play. I know for a fact there are MANY people like me who refuse to subscribe and pay $15 for 1 day of playing a test that wonāt matter. I donāt even know what to say anymoreā¦ I think they need at least 50 servers. 3 PvP servers for EST is far too few. I guess I am not going to escape streamer serversā¦ that will now be impossible.

Northdale still has 10K+ logging in and how old is that server ā¦about 1 year old.
I just tested it out and Iām a CST player. The ping maxed out at around 60. I think you should be fine.

Will be under 100ms. Honestly, will be negligible.
Is moonguard really PST? I used to play on moonguard fine. If thatās the case, then the ping isnāt bad for an EST player on a PST server.
Please consider more than 1 PVP realm for OCE, that server is going to be borderline unplayable. Also what if people want to PVP as both factions? You are restricting people who only play PVP to one faction permanently if they want reasonable ping and not to have to delete all their characters.

33k is less players then Eve Online right now which is a much more niche game then World of Warcraftā¦

I went to go check realm zones and itās central time, but I would imagine pst wouldnāt be that much worse imo. I think WRAs the pst server but Iāve played on it a bit as well and I never had much issues. Sorry for the confusion regardless I mixed up time zones.
Not what I prefer but not much we can do.
Can you not understand that they can easily add servers as needed? They will have bigger problems having to merge low pop servers if they start with too many.

If you donāt care where the server is, and timezones are no issueā¦ it doesnāt matter if you choose EST or PSTā¦ the only difference will be a slight difference in latency. But you have that now with people who have say, GoogleFiber and others with some podunk cable/DSLā¦

Please cap server population at 10,000 and spin up new servers as needed.
Please do not use layering as an excuse to make 40,000+ pop servers.
Vanilla WoW is addictive. Most people will not quit.
