These two things don’t make sense. Win7 64 bit released in 2009. Therefore it should be 2009-2012. I understand anything lower than Win7 64 bit would sound ridiculous but it isn’t accurate to say 2007-2009.

If it is like the last stress test, you need to download the live version of Classic. There were two versions and the Beta (now closed) was mainly for those who were invited. The live was for stress tests and what you should download ahead of time.
Also the PTR is for current WoW and if you want to do the test ignore that. That will just bring you into 8.2.5 stuff.

Older versions of Windows can’t run anything close to a modern browser is probably whats going on. You need battle.net and for that you need a browser. I just rebuilt an old XP laptop I dragged out of a closet and it is pretty much a boat anchor, no websites will load because the browser is out of date and the newer browsers wouldn’t install because the OS was out of date so I decided to not waste time with it.
Plus there’s no 32-bit client for WoW.
I actually have that hardware you claim will run WOW classic. I used it during the last test. It doesn’t actually run the game. Ran 7,8,8.1,10. Using it just to see because that was the old WoTLK settings for greatness. lol you may want to make some corrections there. I see the MACs correct but thats because you are not allowed to advertise incorrectly on their walled garden. i5 long stretch from a Phenom. Well now you know.
I don’t think it matters the security instruction set on the Phenom isn’t going to let it run.
Right there over inflating the numbers. Your allowed to do that with windows mostly. Thats why it’s such a steep increase to the MAC because your not allowed to do that on there.

Getting really tired of being punished because I have a full time job and having to miss out on the key times you want us on. Can’t help but notice you’re prosperously avoiding doing these on a weekend and instead choose to do it on a Thursday morning when you know most people wont be on…last stress test you had to shut down all but one server just to get enough people on it to even test it, you may get more now that the beta is over but you would get a heck of a lot more if this were done on a Saturday morning.
You realise that the people you are talking to also have a full time job and are scheduling these events during periods where they are at work.

And you do realize that all there doing is collecting information on server performance which can be done automatically without anyone being there. Also you do realize that they have people WORKING ON THE WEEKENDS RIGHT? How do you thing tickets and stuff get answered after 5pm and on the weekends?? You know what else? Having a few people work a weekend to get a REAL stress test in will be a heck of a lot more important in giving them information unless of course you think having the servers crash the first weekend out of release because they couldn’t handle a real load is going to go over very well.
In every single stress test, they’ve actively made configuration changes during the test.

And after Friday, we’ll know how many will find the original was much to involved in thinking and planning and not that much fun compared to now where you automatically get the right stuff given to you. And I hope they hold true in the final release that there was no such thing as flying and heirloom gear that scaled for you. Let’s see how many players stick around after launch day. No more lvl 5 one-shotting!
Why after Friday? This is the third (technically fourth) test, plus there was beta.
If they haven’t already worked it out, they won’t do that till release.
