I was hoping the RP realm would be named Argent Dawn, because I’ve always liked that server name and wished RP happened there, but pirates are an acceptable namesake.

Someone took my name, so I just took the old version of my name (Bulise). Kinda irritated, but it’s whatever.
I got Sarestha! I did not get Richard for my undead Warlock, but I went with his surname “Thondroril”. Which is probably what a grumpy old ex-Dalaran magus would go by anyway.
And I also reserved Randiriel for a friend who’s out of town! It was her first RP character name, and she hoped to get it back. But that’s fine by me, for the time being I only plan on two classic toons, at least for now! I hear leveling is hell.
I got all of the names I needed!! I’ll see y’all on Bloodsail AND Grob

I have that name on WrA. He’s my monk I need to level to 120.
I was able to nab Dais, Gogo, and Anya. I didn’t get the name I really wanted for my future spriest but oh well thanks login servers taking forever.

Yeah a lot of people had issues,but I was lucky to get in right away and make characters.
It took me a solid 40 minutes of trying. But I got there eventually!
Edit: Gosh look at the Classic General Discussion forum if you want to see a bunch of REALLY petty people over getting their name stolen. Good lord, I get it sucks but there’s some grumpy folks about.

got 2/3 of the names I was after on Grobbulus and the one I lost (Ike) was the one I was rushing to get so I’m kinda bummed but i’m happy with the 3 i’ve got ready to go once classic launches

Got my two Horde on Grobby and one Alliance on BB; I’m satisfied.
At the end of the day it’s not the world’s biggest deal either. I mean, I get why it’s a problem and I definitely tried to sneak a few names in myself… but at the end of the day, other people might want the same name without feeling they’re “stealing” it.
That said, I’m likely just chill about it because I will have an RP addon. I mean, it won’t be hard to turn “Thondroril” into “Magus Richard Thondroril”, as an RPer.
Got all 3 I wanted, was pleasantly surprised that even after taking the time to properly customize my first 2 characters, Gizmo was still available for my 3rd.
