Remind me again the level cap in beta? The exact reason they didn’t fix this earlier is that they didn’t test it. It’s a confluence bug of retail and classic code that wasn’t vetted out.
lol Timing seems convenient. After all of “free” hype and publicity from these First to do this or that groups and streamers jumping on the bandwagon.
Blizz- oh hey bug we had no idea about. We’re gonna fix that now. Thanks for letting us know. We had no idea and had no way of knowing about this… wink oh wait we didnt mean to wink… wink
hopefully.
Which should tell everyone to expect more of this. Theyre running their games as intended…
Something else will show up later in classic or retail and we’ll be back in forums again asking “what the heck?” and forum mods and devs will just be laughing.
Best part is i like how issues like this dont show up in news app articles like “RACE TO FIRST…FIRST TO 60 …FIRST TO KILL ONY!!” pretty neat.
As far as I remember the glitch in retail allowing fast leveling recently caused many bans, how about this?
How about you ban every single exploit user, so that we can finally enjoy a legit game?
I can´t believe how things like those always get through your Beta tests. Maybe, because you invite the same people that exploit them, the streamers!
I am speechless about so much incompetence of one of the biggest gaming companies in the past.
Yea. Thats what I said. Reset the instance. That is how it worked. It’s not an exploit?
Are we sure this is a bug that existed in Vanilla or a bug introduced in Classic? I see no reason Blizzard shouldn’t fix introduced bugs in Classic to match Vanilla.
Don’t you know, the big boys have to get there first. The big sponsored paid raiders exploit game mechanics and never get banned. It gets “hotfixed” after they “discover” the bug.
I sometimes think it is a backroom deal to let them stay first.
And this statement right here is exactly what killed MMORPGs, friends.
I see this like absolute win.
When these people who just want to “beat the game” by any means necessary get bored and leave, we can have our peace playing without them. If anything, they should’ve waited to hotfix it until all streamers use it and leave.
Sorry to tell you that’s not how it works. The speedrunners who do anything to get to the top are almost alwsays the least likely to quit.
With the way it was incrementally capped, and groups only had instances to do for weeks on end, how on EARTH did this leave beta in this state?
The bug was not apart of Vanilla
Levels 1-20 don’t take that long, idiot. If you’re going to QQ about another 15 hours to level to 60, maybe you’re not big enough to play this game. It’s not my fault you weren’t taking advantage of it while it lasted.
Correct Narue, and the raid patches roll out over the course of ~2 years. Very thoughtful comment, yes, I’m sure they’ll level to 60, clear MC and then quit without hanging around to play the remaining raid content. Lawl.
Not a change, this was not a part of vanilla
Now you just have to address the people abusing layering to phase and get a fresh respawn on mobs.
I doubt anyone getting a ban hammer. You’d lose a good chunk of your player base. My server had constant groups for it. Lots of them X_X. So yeah good luck on ban hammering. Like I said I doubt blizzard do anything.
Can’t stop, won’t stop. Level 40 and climbing.
