Yet another narrow minded person blaming the people. Yeah a choice. Play with friends and spend 90% of your time in a queue and 10% playing, or roll on a different server and hope for transfers later (that blizz said they were open to). To put it simply, the choice was to play, or not to play. People chose play.
This is going to stomp on the people who rolled on the newest realms. The extra leveling time means that transfers will come in with higher levels, more gear, more gold and resources, and more organization if whole guilds move.
Those of us who took note of the high queues and rerolled to be a part of the solution are going to get penalized for doing so.
Maybe there should be some kind of level cap or a system where you “roll back the clock” on transferred characters. Make it so that they get reduced to a certain level, gold, and gear if they transfer to a newer realm. That way everyone is on a more even playing field and the server can better handle the new transfers.
Yep. And I barely played the first 4 days, have another 13 hunter. My friends decided a slightly less queued server would work, and here we are. If you really value friends, you enjoy leveling with them anyway.
We didn’t freak out and run to multiple different servers bc Classic isn’t going anywhere, especially after only a few days.
Quit blaming Blizz for your poor planning.

There is, it’s called re-rolling, which a few days in shouldn’t be a big deal…but these are gamers…
Guilds and friends can re-roll. People asked for free xfers, take it or not.

Yet another narrow minded person blaming the people
I don’t see how that’s conducive in explaining yourself
They chose to play alone instead of wait to play with their friends, and not consulting them to move as well and start with them, this is a game with overloaded and overcrowded servers with extreme excitement, the tourists will slip out and the servers will come down, but it wont be for quite a while.
So, do we have just one day to transfer over? Or, can we transfer anytime we want?
it isnt clear, but I’d lean towards a short period, the first day is just to basically reserve your names
And if you had of gone with your friends to begin with you wouldn’t have this issue. No one but yourself to blame here.
I wish they’d open a short window where you can choose to go wherever you please. I’d love to go from Skeram > Bigglesworth.
Blizz, please reconsider allowing us to move from the designated high pops to any of the currrent low pops. Please!! Some of our friends already left due to queue times and went to existing low pop servers. This will only continue to keep players separated from their friends. Please reconsider!!!
Why do the East Coast realms get all the cool names while the West Coast (your HQ) is left in the dumpster?
Are you? You presumably rerolled to a queue free server where you could spend all your time playing. Meanwhile the people on the high pop servers were spending half the time in queue. Why are you expecting them to be ahead of you?
I think the highest levels on the high pop realms will stay since they obviously know a way to evade the queues.
I understand your concern, but getting people into the right time zone is not the reason why Blizz offers this service.
It’s not rocket science, i know queues on my server are roughly x number of minutes so i log in x number of minutes before i want to play.
Because they are. Just look at the top levels on the older servers and the ones on the newer ones. There’s about a 20-30 level advantage on the old ones.
Now, this matters on all servers but especially on the PVP ones. The new transfers will have a huge advantage in world PVP, being able to camp low zones with little the current players can do about it.
These older players will retain the advantage for a while, gearing up while the original players on the realm are leveling. Gaining rare patterns and reputation. Raiding and getting gear from that. Yes, in a few months the differences will be less but that’s a few months that the original players will be forced to be the underdogs.
I’m all for transfers but not at the expense of others. There should be a way to limit the damage.
We don’t need a new butt load of people on Netherwind. We’re doing just fine with a healthy amount of players. We certainly don’t need incoming players that had nearly a week head start…
repeat yourself as many times as you like, not going to make you correct. Already defunct that argument above
Please dont Ruin Netherwind.
I rerolled here, others are free to do the same.
