Is there a possibility to pay and go to a server that you actually want to go to? Now or in the near future even.
I doubt they will let anyone move to anything that is currently high/full. Which is… almost all of them at this time.
This isn’t going to solve the severe population imbalance because of the strict restrictions on who can go where. One of the biggest problems are guilds are split between 2 servers but now those 2 servers can’t go to the same realm so no one will move and realms will still be overpopulated.
I’m sure you guys are playing it safe for now, but you should have opened up any high pop to low pop server. Hopefully in the future you give us more freedom to join any low population server or allow us to pay to go wherever we want.
nice that you finally opened transfers blizz, but FAR too late. you should have just done it as soon as you were opening all the new servers.
Funny, everyone on this forum claims this was the beginning of the retail community’s downfall. No paid server transfers.
Yep on any BFA server. Classic is no changes, at least that’s what this playerbase has claimed from the start.
The playerbase is a bunch of lazy whining spoiled kids. What do you expect?
It’s very simple, long term if people can’t play with their friends, they will lose interest and unsub from the game. Guilds and friends will remain to be split with such strict restrictions and Blizzard will lose a lot of money in lost subscriptions.
I’m sure most will remain patient in hoping Blizzard does the right thing and allows all high pop servers to go to any low pop or new server or at the very least open up paid transfers to allow people to go wherever they want.
Can you be more specific, for my curiosity?
They’re trying to help you keep your names by giving you servers to go to that no one else is allowed to roll on for a day.
The queues are long enough on the source servers that the target servers will have healthy populations if enough people reroll to bring the queues down. And come on, you can’t pretend that Heartseeker, Earthfury, and Arcanite Reaper aren’t good realm names.
I don’t understand how people chose to split up if they were so tight. Hearing sob stories of friends and guildies split up by THEIR OWN choice, begging for Blizzard to fix every individual situation is weak.
The game is out a week, but no one will reroll to be with their awesome friends who for sure would help them catch up…gamers really are lazy at life.
I hope they open transfers from yo gabba gabba so you are your friends can go complain over there and leave me with no queues on arugal
arcanite reaper hooo
and this free character transfer is a great way to help stalagg level out… so not sure what you’re complaining about… if anything you should be celebrating, because this means some stalagg players will transfer out, which means less queue.
Seriously, are you that daft?
Wow again with stupid decisions soon those new servers with transfer will be low pop so they can have an excuse to implement crossrealms like retail
You realize most guilds do have real good friends and I’m sure they are together, but they’re also 60+ members and not everyone are friends IRL, but “friends” online who game and raid together. Not everyone is willing to remake a level 45 character at this point. It has nothing to do with being lazy. Sometimes it’s like herding it cats. Guilds got split up because of the extreme Q times on multiple servers. Not sure why that’s so hard to understand. It happened to thousands of people. Just because you don’t fall under the category doesn’t make it less of a real thing. People will stay sub’d to WoW if they can play with their friends without wasting 4-5 days of played time.
Grob is overpopulated. The queue during prime time can be over an hour AFTER they increased realm cap. When layering goes away, that population size will be like a swarm of locusts blotting out everything. It needed the transfer just as bad as the other servers. There are plenty of RPers to support two communities.
Players have been asking for free transfers basically since Classic launched. All 8 days ago, btw. And now Blizzard allows transfers from the high population realms experiencing the worst queues, to either low population realms or brand new realms – and gives you transfers first crack at securing your names by not allowing anyone else to create new characters for 1 day – but this is now deemed unacceptable because Blizzard isn’t allowing you free reign to go wherever you want.
Can’t please anyone haha… don’t envy Team 2 at all.
Also, how many of you scattered bestest of best friends, gangs of awesome that you are, would all try to congregate back on a high population realm, and then complain about the queues, about the lack of mob availability because everyone else tags your kills, and all the other nonsense about Classic thus far?
over an hour
meanwhile on whitemane
primetime wait queue of a minimum of 2 hours still with a maximum of 4 hours
Hey, I get it that some of the other servers are worse, but an hour(or more) long queue is unacceptable too. A lot of people only have a couple hours of free time a day. Spending it in queue aint a good deal.
