Transfers to anywhere you want will be paid service, if added at all. They specify destination realms because they’re looking to control the influx into those realms (that aren’t brand new). If they allowed transfers anywhere you wanted for free, they’d have no control of realm populations, which is exactly what this entire process is about.

If DD had been available at release I would have rolled on it. It is an EST server and I am EST time.
I recommend you let people know a day or two in advance so guilds can plan their transfers.

And that is your problem, I sucked it up and stayed on arugal also, 3 days is bugger all in the scheme of things by the way.
If you really wanted to play with friends you would just reroll.

I have a character on Grobb (I like rp style) and I am considering move to DD just because the datacenter of the pacific time realms (Grobb) are in Los Angeles, farther from me (Brazil) than the Eastern Time ones (Chicago), resulting in more latency I suppose.
different people place a different value on their time. People with time to spare are likely going to agree with you. People that dont, wont.

Grobbulus and DD are both RPPVP servers.
Absolutely unacceptable. YOu shouldn’t get to pick which “New” server we have to go to just allow us to move to anything under “high” pop.
THE ENTIRE REASON NOBODY RE ROLLED IS BECAUSE THEY DIDNT WANT TO GET STUCK ON A DEAD SERVER LIKE HEARTSEEKER

A good bit of people on Grob will want to do this since Deviate is a EST but don’t want to relevel. It was the only reason why I didn’t make a main on Grob which I’m so glad I held out.

Why are you doing this? We rerrolled to the UNANNOUNCED fresh server (srsly no notice?) and now you are letting people from an OLDER server come to the less progressed server for free?
So now if you want a good classic experience we have to wait for another unannounced fresh realm?
This is a fiasco. Literally why would you do this to anathema and netherwind??

You guys do realize this is how high pop xfers have always worked since 15 years ago… saying you want to go wherever you want is bad for server balance… this should be a 1 time thing and never again… not even paid… thats a modern wow luxury but it ruins server population… for example. Shattered Hand was an OG server… first 15… It was opened to Xfers in BWL and AQ due to capacity issues… ( Got WF Nefarian, got sick of queues and lag and xfered to Dentarg) then in WOTLK when faction changes and Xfers became 100% available for a fee… the server died… less than 1200 active players… I mean… if you didnt prepare for queues and high population during launch you don goofed… its like playing on illidan or stormrage on patch day… then saying you want a free xfer wherever you want. thats dumb because its common sense…
When pretty much the entire streamer community says “we are playing on faerlina”… you should automatically expect extreme volume.
When the entire Private server community and anti streamer group say “we are playing on herod”… that also should be expected to be high pop. those are really the only bad 4+ hour queue time servers and the ones that were obliterated at launch for 10+ hours. i sat and queue and didnt cry because i knew it would happen… even tho i got DC’d while being one of the first ones in then having to wait… i expected it…

well i play on EU but unless my friends mediumish small queue at peak times server (which they all rerolled to btw) is moving to the same server that i playing golemag will be allowed to move to there is no point. i have changed my sleeping pattern. not been in queue since the dc last tuesday that kicked off my entire layer. im not moving to a new realm where my friends cannot come to the server also as they rerolled off golemag.
If you took time off work to play a game then you obviously have time to piss away.
How are we defining “very soon”? Today? Tomorrow? Next week?
How about…you let us transfer where we want. Because all of my friends are SPLIT BETWEEN 2-3 different realms because of the launch queues. I WANT TO JOIN MY FRIENDS AND GET AWAY FROM THE QUEUE

Pretty sure they’ll do that eventually, but they are gonna make you pay for it unfortunately
dude, these low pops were made for ppl transfer later lul, it will be like 20k ppl from queues transfering in, thats more than enough to make it high or even full
Wow, clearly we have different logic. I took time off to play a game, because thats pretty much the only way i am going to get any significant time to play it.
Dont know why i even have to explain that, if you had put the tiniest bit of thought into it, you could have come to the same conclusion.

Every time they have opened something new it has jumped High or Full. If they suddenly allow multiple servers that are FULL to move over to a new server - there is no reason to believe that it won’t leap past Medium in a day.
