Except all those guilds could have done that on day one and chose not to. Queues now is way better than a dead server later where they cannot recruit. That is going to be the primary concern for raiding guilds and they will most all stay on the high pop realm.
Netherwind should not be a destination yet. This is going to let the transfers control everything.
Our highest level player is in the 40’s…
Sorry bub, you got a new top dawg now.
Just be glad we’re Alliance.
And there in lies the problem…
Don’t sweat it, I’m also bringing my bank alts, so you’ll have a much healthier AH.
i hate the name of my mage [Ayohwee] - sounds like AOE, i know - lame.
so i made the same name on stallagg, going to transfer him over to heartseeker and then my mage, resulting in free name change for mage.
200iq moves
Its not that bad.
They created an incentive to transfer off populated servers (when they didn’t have to) and even provide a one-day head start over genpop to assist with name preservation.
Will it work to lower queues?
Depends on how many people jump back to popular servers.
That’s my point. Our AH is growing organically. Our economy is healthy for early levels. Our players are in process, so no 60’s camping westfall and such. We are too young of a server to suddenly introduce tons of new items, high level players, or established large guilds. It will destroy our server.
Are your skins still selling in Silver? If that’s the case I might be able to buy them all and then sell at a higher price.
This.
The game has been out just over a week. Spare me the whining about time wasted when you chose to roll on different servers from your friends.
We picked Whitemane initially and were ready for some queues. However after 48 hours the queues only got longer and longer (6+ hours if you tried logging in after work EST) we decided this was not an acceptable situation, so made a group decision to re-roll on a Low to Medium population server. We knew we could not depend on Blizzard implementing a fix that would satisfy all of us.
Yes, a couple of people who were actually able to log in early on Monday had to abandon toons they put a handful of hours into, but oh well at least they got to play on release day unlike a lot of the rest of us. Now we’re all pretty happy on a server that’s medium pop throughout the day and high pop during primetime without the queue.
Also, nobody cares if you can’t reserve the name you want. It’s not as clever/cool as you think it is.
Sounds like you don’t value your time at all, and are trying to push this attitude onto others.
You make me want to roll horde…
I hope a lot of people don’t leave Insendious. The population is awesome and the que times aren’t even that bad.
Why transfers to new realms? Not enough people will do it and they will be come ghost towns. The queues are already becoming manageable. The transfers should be to the already existing lower pop servers. I was going to maybe consider transferring off of Herod but not anymore. Earthfury will be a dead server eventually.
If you were in STV with us you would definitely say otherwise.
Please, I’ve been PVPing since UO beta in 96. What were you? In elementary school?
Hi Kaivax and Blizzard team.
Please note that on new servers like Netherwind and Anathema, the highest level characters are ~40, with only a handful of people actually being that high. If you allow ANY LEVEL OVER 40 to transfer to these servers, they will ruin the economy and the entire server. They will be UNCHALLENGED in the high level zones, they will farm unchecked, get lots of gold and they will gank and camp the lower levels 24/7. The server economy will be destroyed. All this while the rest of the server will be trying to level 40-60 with 60s camping all the zones.
Please consider levels when allowing transfers, as high levels (anything over 40 atm) will have an unfair advantage and will be Gods. You’ll be ruining the gaming experience of all of us who have listened and moved to new servers instead of obstinately staying on high-pop servers. My friends and I have moved 4 times…I have 3 sets of lvl 10 characters because of it. And now you’ll potentially offer an advantage to those who CHOSE TO NOT MOVE. What a shame that would be for all of us who finally found a home. Please consider this!!
Thanks!
P.S. Thalnos is the South American Realm. Can you give them their own realm instead of Netherwind? They’ll move in force, as they have large communities, and greatly influence the existing population on Netherwind. Please…
This wont end well at all. There is nothing likable about these restrictions. My server isnt even listed as an option and it has ridiculous wait times.
While some guilds may have been pre-formed and have lots of members.
MOST started small on a server and grew… of course everyone wants to stay on a full server… but there certainly will be plenty who choose to relocate simply because they cannot play together… .or even alone… if they cannot log in for 4 hours… MANY people only have a few hours each evening to play… they aren’t going to waste them in a a queue.
Being in queue also greatly reduces your ability to progress in game. If you friend is lucky and gets through more often because he gets off at 3:30pm… he may get to 40+ while you are stuck in your twenties…
How fun is that?
So it’s play the game on a less pop server… or not play a game with the satisfaction of knowing you are on the hip, full server.
