They haven’t ruled out BC and WotLK legacy servers. They haven’t indicated they’ll be making them.
I hope they do; I don’t count on it.
Ironically, if they positively confirmed they were going to…I might delay playing Classic until BC came out; if they release BC servers that’s certainly where I’ll spend most of my time.
Everything posted is opinion. I have no desire for traveling down the same historic path that led to the ruination of the game. Nor do I have the slightest desire to play current retail content. So yes, I am here for classic and classic alone which is static content. Do not wizz on my leg and tell me it is raining. Offering me things I do not want is not added value to me.
I should clarify I measure the value by the amount of entertainment I get from said item. Normal video games that sell for 50-60$ in a gamestop-like environment will last me 1-2 months and I hardly ever touch them again.
I’ve been playing WoW on and off for 14 years, the enjoyment has not ended. And I know that classic will continue to fulfill my entertainment needs. And when it stops doing so I will stop my subscription.
And yet they can somehow afford hosting Diablo singleplayer gameplay.(Which I, to this day, find ridiculous that it requires connection to their servers…)
So it looks like they CAN just charge 50+ bucks for the game itself and not charge monthly sub fees afterwards.
What’s not opinion is that playing WoW has no up-front box cost. Period, this has been the case for awhile now.
All you pay is the same sub as you’ve always paid. Whether that’s worth paying is up to you.
It’s hilarious to think that people here will be happy to pay a separate sub, when that’s antithetical to Blizzard’s business practices, but will not be happy to pay the same old sub, and only play Classic.
I can appreciate your distaste at paying for both the game and the subscription. I have been doing this since 2004 for two accounts and can appreciate how much money I have placed into the goblin like coffers at WoW’s HQ.
That said, the purchase of the game and the subscription is a necessary evil to this addiction we call WOW. The amount of money invested in developing, maintaining and constantly expanding is necessary for the continued advancement and progression of this game.
Having been a BM Hunter from the start, I have not always been happy with Blizz. That said, this is the best game of its type so far and in my opinion the people who work hard to maintain this game and its progression should be rewarded for their work.
If they toss in Classic WoW in with the regular subscription then so be it. If its a separate, so be it.
You are all about blizzard being inclusive until someone has an opinion that runs counter to blizzards decisions. Give current subs classic so as to be inclusive, but heaven forbid someone should want to be included but not pay a combo price. Where is your inclusiveness, studmuffyn?Don’t you want everyone to play?
