Offend all people who ask for classic servers;
‘Nostalgia glasses’, ‘wall of no’, ‘(insert any stupid analogy)’
Jerks for years;

They get classic for free that fought against many years.

Let’s answer a question with a question: Is Classic a relaunch of Vanilla? Or is it the homage to the original game?

Are there people who just want Vanilla to have been unchanged since 1.12 for the last ten years? Or do they want to relive the experience of playing an MMO as it was new?

The big problem is that the people on these forums think the game is just for them, and that no new people will ever explore Classic.

“Oh, but you just want to give everyone a participation trophy!” Hey, I experienced Vanilla, it’s everyone here who desperately wants Classic to be a specific point during Vanilla’s lifetime. Those people want no BGs, these people want progression servers, etc.

Still doesn’t represent the entire retail player base. For all we know everyone of those posts were made by 5 guys and their army of alts.
Nor does any of that warrant blind hate for every player who plays retail.
No matter how bad some forum trolls hurt our feels.

How about you answer a question with an answer?

Are you equating “a few people want cyclical servers” with content droughts? It’s a very simple question. Yes? Or no?

If you want to know the reason why, the answer is “Content Buckets.” Eventually, this bucket is going to run out.

Now, you answer this: Are you saying that Classic won’t run out of content?

If you have an issue with wanting to involve every angle, then feel free to challenge “logic” with whatever argument you might have.

Okay, OP aside, because well if he doesn’t want to pay a sub there are plenty of F2P MMOs for him to play. Most people who want a Classic only option are more then willing to pay a sub for it.

You know who the rest of you remind of? The Anti-Classic wall of no. You’re all diametrically opposed to an option to sub to only Classic because Blizzard’s official stated position is 1 sub for both. You know what else Blizzard’s stated position was at one time? No Classic WoW. Yet people kept asking for it an here we are.

As soon as the classic forum first opened the sticky said they were going to be offwring a “classic server option”.

They would not have included the word “option” if they were going to go with independant servers and subscriptions

I don’t expect anything of you, except for you, and everyone else to do what they think is best for them. That’s the wonder of a community - there are going to be a lot of different opinions. They aren’t a hive mind.

Gnocci and others are upset because of the Wall of No. Project 60 and the Streamers they follow are going to be doing whatever it is that they do.

You have an issue with people seeing the big picture or seeing what Blizzard sees.

However, this is why I saw Blizzard lumping the subs together. I have proof of why Blizzard thinks this way. It’s part of their game design philosophy - inclusion, rather than exclusion.

You don’t have to agree, and I’ll defend your right to think that way, but I also will tell you why it’s not the way you want it to be.

You’re interpreting things how you want them with no actual basis to back them up. In this case the word “option” means you will be able to play Classic or Modern WoW. It has nothing to do with the sub price, but you’re making that leap to try to make your case stronger.
