Over the past few years wow pretty much has become a single player game, besides the occasional lfg dungeon there is almost 0 actual player interaction.
I mean guilds and party finder raids and role players would disagree with you but, okay.
Well given that there is maybe at most 5 other people in things like trade chat at any given time, the fact that most guilds on the server have been dead for years, and lfr being just bigger lfg dungeons ya its pretty dead out there only leaving a single player experience.
Pretty sure you know this but you just need the game and a active sub. Expansions arenât needed. Compared to what others think.
When you canât differentiate players from bots it becomes just a single player game.
A subscription fee keeps out toxic trolls, Iâm happy to play a game with a sub fee.
It does little to do so, if they truly wanted they would sub just to cause havoc, so it doesnât stop that any more than a box cost would.
Perhaps let me be more clear. I specified, guilds, party finder raids, and role players in reference to the comment about almost 0 player interaction.
It really does, just like it will likely keep you out right?
You mean like the currently subbed toxic retail wall of no trolls who are being handed classic as a free bonus?
Trolls and toxic behavior are part of the online experience, and always has been. This hasnât changed from Vanilla, and wonât be different in Classic. If you canât handle a few trolls from time to time, you wonât ever survive in an MMO.
And no, you will NEVER be able to convince me otherwise. I am roleplayer, and thereâs far more toxic behavior towards us than there ever has been towards your precious Retail vs. Classic crowd.
I do not see an argument against what I posted in all of that.
Right it is bad enough, could you imagine if it was a free to play game. Or, even a one time purchase? Popular games have large crowds and there will always be some toxic players.
And there is a small number of people who want a separate box cost, or a separate sub, as a last resort in order to âcontrolâ the number of trolls, or an attempt to curb their behavior.
âWe donât like toxic trollsâ - who likes toxic trolls other than other trolls with a shared target?
But the fact is that you shut off more avenues to making new friends and building a bigger community by trying to cut out âpotentialâ troublemakers. It isnât an inclusive or constructive ideology to pursue a separate sub or box cost for that reason alone.
Classic box cost: Free with sub to retail WoW.
Just get over it.
As of the current date, it is literally a free to play separate game for those that have an active sub. That includes all of the wall of no posters that are subbed to current retail. All of the posters who for 10 years fought against the idea of classic and regularly trolled the classic forum after it was announced to finally be a thing. Those people, all who had active subs are being gifted the game they loathed so much that they actively fought against.
Nope. I have every right to lobby for what I feel would be best for the game. Feel free to fight against it if you wish. That would be nothing new to many of us.
Fight it all you want but theyâve officially announced their pricing model. They wonât change it. We now have to waste our time reading your comments asking them to change it when that wonât happen. What else would your change? Bring something new to the table please.
No one is making you read them.
Is this how it feels to be white-knighted?
