Wow classic character transfer/name restrictions

Hello,
I’m sorry if this was answered before, though I couldn’t find any answer to my question.

In WoW Classic:
if i transfer my charecter to another realm can someone take my name on the original realm I transferred from immediately? Or does it get locked to my account even though I transferred the character to another realm?

If the character is over level 30, the name should become reserved for your account for 30 days.
