Well what would you have Blizzard do? Multiply the materials required by 10? Troll everyone by completely changing the required items for turn-in? But then there will be people crying about #nochanges. 
Keep them closed… You dont want someone coming from another realm coming to your realm and getting the Scarab Lord…

I assume you didnt read a blue post… if you transfered within last 60-90 days you cant get title or mount.

Help there is some deep ToS collusion going on. Guilds cross faction paying off not to attack each other and focus other guilds!!

Blizzard should have pulled a sneaky on us and changed up all the mats for the gate opening. Thats the only way it would be an authentic experience.

Actually… I am no changes… except this one time. I’ve been saying it since before Classic released that the only change I thought would be good would be to change the mats somehow.

Is the loot table for Scholo side bosses supposed to remove blue items and just drop dark runes now? I’m hoping this is a bug. Didn’t get to finish the Deathbone set on my paladin.

Silithus collusion. Horde protect alliance farming… in turn alliance protect horde. Lock out everyone if you’re not in the top 3 guilds (on each side).
There’s even Weakaura’s that don’t target colluding guilds… all other guild tags are auto targetted and attacked.
It takes a GM 5 mins of investigation to see it happening… but, Activision doesn’t care.

Whelp in my opinion this gathering did not feel like classic at all. Everybody knew the mats needed and it was finished within a day… even on my server of Skeram which by now many know is 99% horde dominated. You would be lucky to even see people in stormwind on my server yet horde pretty much did the alliance side materials for us.
I woke up this morning farmed a few turn in items (about 5 different types of materials) and then proceeded to Ironforge. And to my dismay everything was completed. I was kinda baffled.
What Blizzard should have done without telling anyone was just change what materials were needed. “But keep classic classic” Someone would argue right? Well this finishing in ONE DAY didn’t feel classic at all to me. Had they changed up the materials you would now have people farming like they did during classic and that actually would of made it feel more like classic but instead everyone was ready to just do the turn in’s. This was a crazy turn off for me. Oh well.

Sucks to be stuck with Grizzly after they transferred here. They had mats for both sides from my understanding weeks ago. Would love to have been on a server that the event would take weeks if not longer to enjoy instead of speed clearing everything. Unlike min maxing, this takes away from others because the event is shortened so much.

I hate to say it, but I actually had the same thought. In most respects, I am adamantly #NoChanges, but in this case, I think some kind of change was warranted. Then again, I’m sure there were players that were gleefully anticipating the chance to demonstrate just how “clever” they were by stockpiling the materials that they already knew in advance that they would need. So maybe Blizzard made the right call after all. Oh, well. What’s done is done.

PLEASE INCREASE THE BUG SPAWN RATES THERE IS TO MANY PEOPLE!!! Not enough bugs to go around. I see 5 people camping one spawn please help herod is a cluster duck.
Is there a cutscene for the opening of the gates? I know I wont be able to participate and I missed it when it first ran.
There’s gonna be a max of maybe 10 Scarab Lords per server for this exact reason. You literally have to no life the game 24/7 and have others willing to do the same FOR YOU. If you can’t kill enough bugs, then you weren’t prepared and didn’t network enough ahead of time to have enough people working for you.
