Because it was brand new, not because it was perfect.
Like people immediately called for dual spec, took issue with WB meta, hated spell batching, and they fixed the latter two

Disable World Buffs in raids and we’re cooking
Excited to see everyone again for fresh.
Are the original classic era servers gonna be untouched by these anniversary changes?
Yeah I’d much rather just disable buffs in raids than have that chronoboon crap. World buffs are cancer
u dont need specing into prot to tank RFC u know …lol
I agree, hated em in SoD even with the chronoboons
yes except you’ll be able to change the guild UI back to the classic version
N-nani?!?!
Dual spec is like that one time you tried spouse swapping and now Doug is always hanging around the house when you are not home.
this is literally impossible, parts of the world go invisible and buggy when you fly, but okay sure
Massive Blizzard W on changes that make this game more accessible.
This is fantastic for allowing other specs to enjoy mostly Vanilla classic. Any chance of adding avoidance to pets for Warlocks and Hunters?
Thank god for dual spec. Anything that limits your ability to play the game is bad game design. Back in Classic, I was a Gen 1 Rank 14 and ranked another character to 12 afterward, but I never PvPed again because I didn’t want to deal with constant respecs. Dual spec solves so many problems, like getting ganked in the open world by low-skill griefers who are PvP specced while you’re stuck in raid spec.
With dual spec and the chronoboon, a lot more people can finally enjoy PvP casually in their downtime. I reached Rank 14 in vanilla, and this change will bring the PvP scene closer to that original experience. It really opens up more ways to have fun and play the game outside of raiding.
Very cool, the instant mail between characters is great for us Altaholics
I’m willing to say there are more people excited about these changes than not. If you’re firmly set on “no changes”, the Classic 2019 era reams are still available for you to play on.
Dual spec should be in game at launch should it not? The most needed time for this is during the beginning when everyone is looking for healers and tanks to run dungeons with and when the honor grind is introduced.
Huge win, thanks a lot
I’m willing to say you are wrong but these changes are not drastic enough for people to not play however unneeded would be the word I use.
I am more against additional changes as they keep normalizing it.
good point
