But still not address the fact that so many of us want TBC Era and need assurances before we start characters on the new realms?

Thank you!

This solves the spec cost issue.

Is there information about boon cost for Hardcore and stormrend?
Thanks!

Nochanges launch in 2019 was literally their most successful launch since 2004, and it’s lasted the test of time too because it’s still going. Not sure what you’re smoking.

Why not give the “fresh” obsessed players a cyclically resetting vanilla server to keep them happy forever, and give the TBC fans TBC era to keep us happy forever? Why is this so hard?

And STORMREND?

Please stop making changes without asking if anyone wanted them.

They did ask, and people did want it. People were asking for removing the debuff limit and dual spec in 2019.

It was very well communicated in forums and in game that people wanted these changes.

I am very impressed and happy to see many of these changes!

In the latest releases of classic and dating back to era the hardest part has been maintaining enough raiders to fulfill a roster to account for absenteeism. This has been one of the hardest bosses since classic was released especially for vanilla content requiring 40 raiders to be on time or show up at all. In my experience, and I imagine for many others the attendence boss has resulted in smaller more tight knit guilds discontinuing their raids, eventually breaking the guild. This is negative for the community and the individual, mostly the individuals who fall victim to now being left finding other guilds who already have their role needs met and inevitability cancel their sub and move on.

What, if any, talks of flexible raid systems have been discussed? I feel that could be a powerful tool for time savings which would allow raiders to quickly form a raid groups ranging from 15-40 while not need to hit a 35-40 man raid to clear content.

While I agree this would be great, it’d probably require WAY too many adjustments to boss health/damage to scale it based on the number of players.

I’m hopeful that the team experiments with different things down the road similar to how the EverQuest TLP servers work where they will start in vanilla and progress up, but almost all of them have some tweak to the OG gameplay. Stuff like flexible raidings or using the TBC pre-patch talents to make all specs viable (not including draenei and blood elves) could be intriguing takes on the Classic experience later on.

I like these changes mostly, but I’d hope you cant swap specs in raid, or anywhere else, except for in the cities at a trainer. Mages swapping to fire and frost over and over in raid for parsing is lame and not vanilla-like. I would have preferred a gold cost reduction for respecs rather than dual spec for this reason.

I’d also hope for minor raid boss health increases to account for the increased player buffs and increased number of player debuffs placed on bosses.

There are a lot of people who also say the exact opposite.

The point of era and a fresh era is to remain as close to 2019 just as 2019 remained as close to the original launch as possible. We dont need another slippery slope that leads to more on the shop or more QoL changes that we just had people petition back a few months ago.

The devs dont like classic wow for what it is and want to change it. Meanwhile they couldnt produce a game nearly as good if they had 10 years to try.

I don’t get it. If people thought classic sucked, why don’t they stay in retail?
