We’ve been told no OCE Realms. PvE On US West, PvP and HC on US East. Many of us legitimately won’t be playing if this is confirmed.

Sure? Again, with every Classic launch of anything there is huge variance in player numbers, if we see a ton of OCE players showing up we can do something about that and use FCMs to get you over to something AU hosted.
You can have your opinion but the numbers generally agree, a healthy realm you can actually raid on is better than a realm with a 200ms better ping.
