Wow Challenges - Pacifist Levelling

So I am trying the Ironman Pacifist challenge and was fairly surprised by how little there is in these forums about it. I thought I would start a current thread with some of the stuff I am finding helpful in case anyone else is looking and trying to find suggestions.

I am almost level 10 now and this is my third go in the last three days. First one was killed at level 4 by a lag that booted me out and when I re-logged something had killed me. Second one I did a quest that I thought was safe for the pacifist challenge and saw that it actually ended up registering I had killed something when I actually had not killed anything.
On my third try now and I am level 9 now.

Soo what I have learned so far, Valentines quests are great for getting started pre level 5, starting a night elf is useful as one of the early quests in dolanar is The Emerald Dreamcatcher and I just waited for someone else to kill the mobs and I ran in and grabbed it, this quest gave me a silver to buy professions early and to travel to Elwynn Forest to continue in an area I was relatively familiar with.

There are no quests I have found in starting areas that are do-able for the pacifist. they all start with killing quests. Goldshire is great as it has a few explore quests to do early on, (explore Janglode and Jasperlode mines) and the Maybelle - Tommy love story has three you can do before they ask you to kill anyone.
Eastvale Logging camp has the picking up wood quest and hunt for the missing guards quests.
Stormwind has a few run around quests, the wine store and tailor shop ones are great.

I also went to Dun Morough (Sp?) and was able to do 4 quests there at level 7, two at thelsamar that required picking things up off the ground. Two at Gol Bolar Quarry that were to pick up gems and to hand out Hearthstones to trapped miners, again when it was busy and others had already killed mobs.
So this is where I am at level 9 now hoping to be level 10 tonight. I have a quest to go to Westfall and elmores task which I often refuse on regular toons as it is just travelling across the world to talk to someone.... sounds like a perfect quest for this toon though.
I will update when I can with what I find along the way if this continues to be successful so that others who are doing this challenge may use some of what I have encountered and found to help them on the way =)
So this morning working on Level 9 - 10.5:

Turned in Elmores task and went to follow that quest chain to its end then moved on to Darkshore. There was one quest there " The last wave of survivors which was easy enough with other people in the area killing mobs for other quests. That one did not have a follow up and all others were grey there at level 9 so moved on to Dolanaarr. There I found "A troubling Breeze" and "Reminders of Home" both good for pacifist. Reminders of home is a bit of a goldmine for this as it opens up to a chain of harmless quests where you run around and talk to a bunch of people.

After finishing what I could there I moved on to Azure watch in Azuremyst Isle and was able to do the totem quests there, There was also a talk to someone at exodar quest which I did before heading to Bloodmyst. There are several quests available at Bloodmyst zones, two at the starting zone "Kessel run" you ride an elekk around to all the various cities to warn people of impending attack. also collecting Sand pears for "A favorite treat" Bloodmyst is also a great place for herbalists as there are plenty of plants but there are also plenty of mobs so always be on the lookout because they are level 12 and can even sometimes detect you when stealthed.

Taking a break now, almost 11 and still no kills no deaths so still successful.
This is fun, a new way to play the game.
I just started my first Pacifist toon, as well, and was on the same track as you, but I find this helpful. Thank you. You beat me to 10, but i will definitely be following you. Thanks for taking the time to post this.
Glad this is helping someone. I do have to say the warning about Bloodmyst is real.... the mobs there get high level fast and I unfortunately am now on toon number 4 as I got backed into a corner by one that pulled me out of stealth and it aggro'ed two others and I was killed so starting again but will be updating here still as I am determined to do this =)
Oh my gosh, a pacifist toon. This is awesome lol, I want to try one brb ty for the idea, great for curing boredom.
You can also give pet battles a go, if they still give EXP anyway.

They do, but very little at first, took me forever just to reach level 5. Haven't tried lately to see if it's any better though. I kept a log of the pacifist quests I found, but haven't gotten back to this character in a long time.

So far I've found holiday quests can often be a great source of EXP. Cooking dailies have quite a few no-kill quests, but Fishing dailies it depends on your interpretation (like swiping fish that have already been caught). And even if you decide your pacifist won't catch fish, junk pools are still good for scavenging stuff to vendor or put in the AH.

And a bit of advice: when gathering herbs and ores, if a mob's consistently too close to a node, save yourself the frustration and just move on to the next node. There'll always be more.
I haven't started a pacifist toon myself yet but I love reading about this sort of thing. I'm looking forward to reading more updates from all of you!
Unfortunately Pet battles are not permitted if you are doing the WOW Challenges.com Pacifist challenge, you get yellow flagged if you get more than 10 pet battles. Would be a great help if you were permitted to do them though.
Another thing to remember about the Pacifist is do not do any quest that requires you to hit anything... Anything you hit counts as a kill, Ice Blocks, Spider webs, etc.... you must be a complete pacifist.
NPCs that accompany you also count, if they hit something it counts as a kill for you, even if you do not participate in it or hit it.... they dont even have to kill it and it counts as a kill for you!
UGH, on to try number 5!
WoW is not undertale.
Made it to 10.... Grabbed the mushroom quest on Bloodmyst at Blood Watch and finished it and now headed to Darkshore to do rescue quest there before I head to Westfall to see if there is anything there for me to do.
Westfall so far has nothing, did the heroes call to westfall but then first quest is to question the homeless and because they sometimes fight I have decided to avoid that quest as it may count as kills...no hitting anything I have discovered is the best rule of thumb in this challenge. Afternoon now so not that many mines or flowers right now either.
So after finding a grand total of 0 quests in westfall that I could do I have made my way to Loch Modan. Here there is not much as far as regular quests go but there is the hidden scrolls, 6 of them in total. Half can be retrieved relatively safely at level 12 (yeah dinged 12! Highest yet without incident) Quest is called Explorers league documents if you want to google the locations. best to do it in high traffic times as they are quite often where silvers spawn so better if there is other questers out killing those pesky silver elites for you.
After the first three the last three are where the level 16+ mobs are hanging out so going to come back for those later on so I don't get killed.
Off to Redridge ...

Ironman Pacifist

This makes no sense.

If you're a pacifist, who cares if you're geared or not?

I don't know who outside the challenge cares but the rules of the on-line challenge are no gear above white level. It does level the playing field though if everyone who completes it does it in similar item level.

I have seen them red-flag participants who equip even one piece of higher than white quality so they definitely care.
Years ago there was a guild on Antonidas called Peace COrps that was entirely pacifist toons. If you can find thier guild website archived anywhere they had a huge amount of resources regarding which quests are no kill and which see like they are but are not.

Good luck to all of you!
I made a healer. I leveled through dungeons. I didn't die. Challenge completed.
I can't even...
Ended up going to Teldrassil to see if anything else opened up and found a quest in the starting area to take a package to Dolanaar. Did that and then ran around opening up all the areas of the map and found two trees that had quests to take strange fruit and a strange frond to an NPC so bit of a windfall there. ran all around Darnassus and there were no quests in the capital so moved on to bloodmyst again.
Found one quest there to go to the coast and get a strange rune from the demon inhabited ruins of Nazzivian which was pretty easy with some patience while I waited for the mobs to pat away from the item. Lots of quests open at 14 but none I could take for this type of levelling so moved on to darkshore again.
Darkshore was a great place for picking again and I opened up the map but the only quests at this time were from an ancient to the south who told me to find Malfurion Stormrage. Upon finding him he had three follow up quests that all require talking to other NPC's. One I was able to do but the two others I just held on to as the NPC's were surrounded by mobs level 16+... too risky at 14 so will return for those.
Going to check Westfall once more then move on to Redridge.
Westfall has 2 quests for me at level 14, "The legend of Captain Greyson" and "Hero's call Redridge" bot obtainable grom the guards on Sentinel hill, Greyson has only killing quests for follow up so after a quick check of Moonbrook where there is nothing I am off to Redridge.
When Darkmoon faire comes around you coould turn in all those artefacts that drop in dungeons. They're level 15 minimum. I don't know if that breaks the rules of your challenge though, as they only drop from killing stuff in dungeons, but they're tradeable. You see them on the Auction house pretty often.

Certainly I'd be visiting the faire if I were you, just for the +10% XP buff and easy profession quests.
15 now and Redridge has a bunch of quests lit up, "Assessing the threat" is do-able as it just requires stealing battle plans from three camps. Easily enough done when there are lots of people questing. After that Guard Thomas gives you a report to take to Lakeshire. In Lakeshire there is the necklace quest at the end of the dock as well as the Gnomecorder quest in the town hall and supplies quest by the bridge. all of these were dead ends as the follow ups were kill quests, no matter I am going to Loch Modan to complete the scroll series I started earlier and see what else is open for me there now.
I did Check out the Peace Corp guild site as suggested by another poster and unfortunately it was a dead end, guild has been inactive since 2013 and the forums on their site including levelling guides are closed to non-members.... Darn!
Means this post will be more helpful to others trying this than I originally thought.
Loch Modan ended up having only one other useful quest, Farstrider Lodge has "Thistle while you work".
Finishing the evening out at 16 1/2. Heading back to Darkshore in the Morning I think to see if anything else there has opened up for me.
