I think we have enough talents with our pets and i hate beast cleave mechanics. Strike as one is already pushing it for me.

i dont get why its unthematic. a hunter pulling out a rifle seems very thematic to me.

because they dont agree with the world of warcraft hunter class, they have it in their heads it’s a lord of the rings low fantasy low tech archer
I did not mean hunter overall but specifically SV. You know the Melee hunter?
I think it’s unthematic because since Legion we’ve not been able to use ranged weapons. We are, grenade or no grenade, a melee spec. The single instances where we’ve used ranged weapons is in the animation of Viper sting and Kill shot and then I’d wager it’s purely out of necessity. And those two animations have gotten a lot of flak for it over the years.
So while I think ranged weapons are thematic for Hunter overall and obviously for BM/MM it’s not for SV. Nothing, absolutely nothing, about SVs theme or aesthetics is about ranged weapons. So no, not thematic to what SV hunter is and has been since Legion.
Edit: With that said, if Blizzard wish or plan to move SV back towards ranged weapons/ranged combat then it would become thematic. But I doubt that is their intent and if so then Boomstick is not the way to do it

you’re saying that a gun doesn’t fit the gun class, so excuse me lol
the ability is not bland. it’s not clunky. what does clunky even mean?
it fits in our rotation, the cooldown is not obnoxious and meshes between the same niche and role that flanking striek / butchery offered
it does fit the class and spec. there is NOTHING about it that says “anti-hunter”. hunters have used guns the entire history of the game.
if people truly felt boomstick was clunky and felt bad to use they’d have been complaining about FotE for 2 years, but they haven’t been, so it makes me think they’re lying

Hey nice attempt at some actual feedback!
So what I hear is that You feel that it is thematic to hunters and somehow SV. You feel that it’s a fitting addition to the rotation and that it’s not clunky. Now that is how you feel, it is not how myself and many others feel. Now that we have established that let’s see what Blizzard does.
Oh but you were so close to make an actual feedback post but had to ruin it by blatantly stating that anyone thinking the ability is clunky or feels bad to use (you know, disagreeing with you) is lying..

yes we should see what they do. i have a feeling if they stay the course with the actual theme and fantasy of survival, and leave it in, that people will just ignore that though and keep complaining

it boils down to racism. because the SAVAGE races cant use a gun.
even thought tauren were the og gun race for the horde and reflected the fact that native americans instantly swapped to guns the moment they had the chance.

It feels spammy doesn’t have enough buttons and the buttons you press don’t feel impactful the current surv mechanics seem dumbed down and lazy.
