Garithos.
Wow that was one short list.
Garithos.
Wow that was one short list.
The forest trolls were attacking the elves before they even entered their territory. Maybe the Amani shouldn’t have punched above their weight limit
Lol, actually they did. Remember, said Thalassian Empire was almost wiped out by the Amani. It was Humanity who came to the Elves’ aid and saved them from annihilation.
But who won? The elves literally scared the Trolls off with magic for like 4,000 years and then when the trolls finally attacked again after all their preparations, the elves just said “hey, you guys don’t like the trolls either right?” And the trolls got stomped again and for good.
And Arthas. and other more recent and petty examples.
Those others however were lackeys of Tyrande. As Sentinels won’t even breathe unless she gives them leave.
And Arthas.
Thats where I stopped reading.
So we come back Alliance’s full list of treachery, the complete scope of their treachery on my homeland, genocide and sabotage.
Quel’thalas left the Alliance first, so treachery doesn’t really apply.
Much in the same way that disagreement by multiple parties is not groupthink.
Blizzard: “We need to justify why belves are joining the Horde and not the Alliance.
Oh no, my hands are made of hams. Now night elves are messing with them for no reason. Dwarves too. WhY iS AlLiaNcE sO mEaN?!!1!”
That’s pretty much what happened with the Nightborne too.
Was it really Alliance treachery when he turned against Lordaeron, the Leaders of the Alliance, also.
And I seem to remember the Elves seceding from the Alliance. So its not really a betrayal if you were already out of the Alliance.
I mean, this thinking can be used to explain anything in the game since blizzard writes the story. “We need to justify the Alliance sieging Lordaeron but make sure the Alliance is in the right as always. Quick make Sylvanas burn down the tree!”
That isn’t accurate. The Amani attacked when the High Elves entered their land. This is outlined on page 120 of the Chronicle. Though, obviously the Trolls share a burden for not choosing to initiate diplomacy.
The sentinel spies were hostile trespassers and deserved their forced removal from Quel’Thalas, but I’ve always wondered how Silvermoon’s higher ups reacted to the whole beheading thing. Like your quest giver, the Farstrider captain, had you murder the guy in such an impulsive and brutal way that never really jived with how Lor’themar or Halduron have been portrayed in WoW, or any related media; they both strike me as too politically savvy, and, well, nice to sign off on executing an ambassador in such a fashion. I imagine one of them had this captain demoted a few ranks, at the least, after this incident got back to them.
Yeah, that I can agree with. It is kinda weirdly left field what the Alliance is doing there, and it’s never really mentioned again.
Mother of god, man… you are the reason nobody takes Male Human Paladins seriously.
Are HMPs the straight white males of WoW?
Did Chronicle retcon the part about the high elves going crazy in Trisfal? Genuinely curious because it used to be that the high elves and Amani already hated each other from their interactions while the elves were still camped out Trisfal and then they started moving north into Troll land because something was driving them mad.
In The Chronicle, the High Elves live in Tirisfal for a bit with no mentioned Troll interactions. They start to become more aggressive because of the dead C’thraxxi influence. They leaved and are attacked after going on Amani land. The Amani holding a grudge against elves due to their conflicts with the ancient Night Elf empire.
You’re right, I just read that section. Seems like they changed it up a bit re: Trisfal. Good to know.
“So you’re telling me you had an enemy spy in your grasp.”
“Yes.”
“And they did not know they’d been compromised.”
“Correct.”
“And you… took off their head.”
“Of course.”
“Instead of detaining them–”
“Uhh…”
“–And finding out what they knew, and under whose orders they were operating.”
“Umm…”
