Wow bgs and expansion is hot trash

Basically the past few expansions they made certain specs do op damage the rest do bad damage. Op healers tanking 4 dps in bgs and healers basically healing other healers making them almost unkillable. Basically they made the past three expansions cool-down based for pvp, which basically favors premades in bgs. Massive hp pools and op healing, with only a few specs doing good or op damage.

Bgs are basically filled with hunters/paladins and healers.

I’m looking forward to cooldown pruning in Midnight for the same reason. Seems like they want to move a lot of power back to normal abilities. I’m also tired of constant cooldown rotation in fights, the game has become very fight game-y with blocks (defensives) and attacks (burst).

I hope not, that stuff runs off players.

that cool down pvp based stuff works okay in high ranked arena, but suxs in battle grounds pvp, which is what most of the playerbase uses to pvp. It turns off new players because the pvp becomes more complex and harder to understand. Cooldown based pvp also makes healers in bgs almost like mini tanks, where it takes 3-4 dps to take them down.

how else would you have a skill based outcome?

make the pvp more like it was in wotlk, high burst dmg output with less abilties and cooldowns, but have healing high also.

under that model, if my burst is bigger than yours, you lose, nothing you can do about it.

you still have cooldowns, defensive and offensive, it works well in a bg setting. Go look at wotlk classics bgs, you have people healing but also people dying. You have folks with 20-35 killing blows in bgs, in retail currently the max kb your gonna see is maybe 15-18 and thats usually some op spec/class like hunters or mage.

then why change from the current model if it does the same thing with more chance for counterplay? low KBs means the game was more competitive. its fun to be the guy with 45kbs, but its not fun to be everyone else in that match who got nothing. the lower KBs of retail indicate closer matched fights where everyone gets a share.

No low kb doesnt mean its more competitive it means, healers are currently now op and mini tanks at the same time. This type of pvp favors premades. I literally said everyone will get a good amount of kb, in wotlk pvp in bgs there was no guy who had ZERO or only 3Kb in a bg. In my example i talked about AVERAGE KB, meaning all dps specs would get a good amount kb, and the majority of players. Its not gonna be one guy with 45kb then another guy with ZERO its impossible. Go look at wotlk classics bgs the worst guy in the bg would get like 15kb and 16deaths The best player would get like 45kb and 12 deaths.

that just sounds like random deaths, aka a party game. mongoing down the other player isn’t something that feels good. the current model feels really good, you have to outplay the other player, you have to set traps for their CDs and create windows where you will have burst but they have no defensives to answer. the super fast trading of CDs is amazing and when you pull off your strat you feel amazing. mindless mongo fests aren’t anywhere close to the depth or complexity of the current game.

Crowd control is more intuitive imo. Either you are cc’d or kited or them. Either you can do damage or healing or can’t. Stacking cooldown modifiers just make everything confusing.

in a bg it will be very confusing even more so for newer players, Most players are not wow vets who been with wow 12-15+ years.

You don’t have any idea how anything works so of course you don’t lol all you do is hide in a big raid zerging around. You have no idea what skill is bud.

Actually in 1v1 or 2v2 combat I even agree. I was more talking about big team fights where so many cooldowns overlap that it becomes a mess.

I disagree actually. At least it’s obvious when you’re being CCd. Doing no damage to similarly geared team and then dying is something that is completely unintuitive without special knowledge.

Pretty sure this is the most balanced the games ever been. Virtually every season of mop and back had stuff way more busted than anything currently in existence.

Like rogues in cata with legendary daggers. The most disgusting thing I have ever seen. Hunters now look like jokes compared to them.

4 terribad DPS maybe :roll_eyes: if people would actually cc them so they have to use their trinket to save others and not themselves.

Fotm rerollers have been a thing since forever. Welcome to PvP in any game ever? Sheeple are always going to flock to the meta. Just how it is sadly.

OP is pretty much spot on. That’s why i don’t get why people still play if they aren’t interested in some form of friendly community with other people.
