Yes it is, the alternative before the 20th anniversary was never getting anniversary rewards again.
Deal with the consequences of deciding to take a break and stop trying to tell the rest of the world that you’re the main character and you deserve everything.

You’re literally subscribed to and playing a game that is based almost exclusively on FOMO. It’s how they keep people subbed - fear of missing out on events, fear of falling behind, fear of not obtaining that mount/transmog/item only available during a specific day/week/month long event, etc. Everything about this game and how Blizzard operates is based solely on keeping you subbed and playing year round.

There’s only ONE VENDOR that isn’t returning. And that’s the one with the mounts and pets. Everything else will be back next year.

No, that was never said. The specific vendor that is five years literally had dialogue to tell us he wouldn’t be back for five years. The rest did not.

Missing sets in a video game should not make you upset. Not being sure that you will get over it is a pretty extreme reaction to not having fake items.
My parents died which is the ultimate FOMO and while I still miss them I got over it.

This whole “FOMO” thing is getting tired, really. I’m sorry, but you’re not entitled to collect literally everything that ever existed. If something no longer exists because you missed the event, then you missed it.
Having a thing from an event is a way to say “I was there”

Good thing no one is. Because again, no matter however many times ya’ll keep misusing what FOMO actually means, it has a specific meaning and you don’t get it.
You had 3 months to get stuff done. “I’m not playing the game therefore things in games I don’t play should stick around until I am playing” is at best an insane unreasonable request to make… but in all honesty it is just plain ol’ insane to make that as a demand.

Sorry a game based on collecting puts 5 year locks on its items. And yea I pay my sub and get to complain on the forums like any other customer.
