Some of us couldn’t play during the anniversary so I feel like these items should return on the next anniversary. Having certain items cycle every 5 years just sounds crazy to me

I’m not worried about it. I had to have surgery and recover from it. I’d love for it to be back next year. But it is what it is.

I’d forget about it.
The game has mementos for events that don’t necessarily return; they offer players a fun token to show they participated.
They’ll be plenty of other events with other rewards.

That’s not the point. Locking cosmetics behind 5 years is unreasonable.
It should be a yearly thing and then maybe every 5 years they introduce new stuff. Not introduce new stuff and then put it in a vault for 5 years

I mean, you could have spent a few hours and got literally everything. Your own fault imo.

You can refuse to defend whatever you want. We can be different.
Fact is, this thing was running on end for months, would only take a few hours of participation to get like everything…
Blizz wants people to PAY to PLAY. Not sit out for 5 years, show up for a month and get everything they missed out on. The point is they want you running a sub all the time to get everything. It has been this way forever. Get over it…or design a better game!

If games make you feel like you are missing out I imagine missing irl events is a world ending experience.
If everyone has everything nothing is special. Not a hard concept even if blizzard seems to not think that anymore.

I don’t think I’m asking anything unreasonable. Any other holiday it comes back each year. But now they’ve added separate items for playing every 5 years. I’d like to get these items before I’m no longer even playing

5 years is incredibly reasonable considering that the alternative before the 20th Anniversary was none of the Anniversary rewards ever returning.
It’s Blizzard’s game and they’re allowed to limit the anniversary rewards as they see fit. If you wanted them, maybe you should have played during the multi-month long Anniversary event.
If you choose to take a break from the game you have to deal with the consequences of your actions instead of demanding the world change for you.
