That’s literally 100% the reason behind these asinine threads.
It has nothing to do with some lofty “philosophical” position of allowing the free flow of ideas (because the free flow of ideas requires appropriate moderation), but simply “I wanna say bad things and not get punished!”

My belief system is a little complex. I think the government should mostly be hands off, but corporations are too powerful to be allowed to make rules of their own. It’s like letting an 8th grader on the playground with the kindergarteners.
Corporations shouldn’t be allowed to make rules for us. The individual should be the most free, not collections of individuals that form a conglomerate.
So corporations should be regulated ?
You sure you don’t like current America?
Yes, tightly. I’m all for personal liberty, not corporate liberty. I do NOT support free market capitalism.
We’re not the place with the most personal liberty, but we are extremely high on the list.
You’re absolutely free to make your own rules.
You’re just not free to do it on someone else’s property.
This isn’t difficult to grasp, so I really wonder why you don’t.

The issue is that these large corporations have too much power. They exert influence over society, and that shouldn’t be allowed. “Their” property should be public the moment they become a gigantic power-hungry machine.
They are a service. Not a person, not a place, not a moral beacon, or anything else. They should just be forced to sell their product and keep their mouths shut.
Corporations have every right to make rules for their customers for as long as those customers are on their property or using their property.

I note that most countries which are not “free market capitalist” have far less tolerance for “freedom of speech” than Blizzard does.
Perhaps the OP should move to one of those nations.
I don’t now, nor will I ever, agree with that.
They are gigantic, powerful entities, that currently completely control modern discourse, and allowing that has hurt society on a massive level.
Just look at the post below yours. Some derailing nonsense meant only to try to stifle a discussion, a trained response meant to turn people away from confronting issues. You think it’s a coincidence that any thread about corporate power is infested with such posts? I know it’s not.

I don’t much like black licorice and despise Swedish salted licorice, don’t mind Jägermeister in moderation occasionally and absolutely love frosted sugar cookies with anise seeds.
When I was young my mother always made cut out sugar cookies with anise seed at Christmas and we (the children) frosted and decorated them. I made them with my children and have made them with some of my grandchildren over the years.

This is some psycho-babble anti-woke complaint isn’t it.

OP likely wants to be racist or homophobic without social consequences.

This ignorance is a poor indictment of the US educational system if you are a US citizen. Since when did basic civics not become something they taught in school?

Personally I believe these forums cause more harm to the game than actual good. I would not be grieved if it was a scenario where announcements were made by Kaivax but nothing more.

Private companies moderate content. Governments censor. The distinction matters.
