I think it’s less likely to brick if you have 0x129, as that was a partial fix to the problem, though 0x12b is what you want now. If you have 0x128 or lower you’re seemingly at risk of bricking the CPU.
It’s pretty ridiculous because a lot of prebuilts are shipping right now with 0x129 and don’t have updates to 0x12b but they still have the affected 14th gen processors.
Doesnt understand title, not smart enough to modify text with their own mind to make sense of it.
You think he wants your ideas?
13th and 14th gen intel chips are notoriously glitched and buggy…your motherboard should have released a patch for your BIOS to address this issue. If you’ve never updated a BIOS I recommend watching videos, I’ve never done it either but when I had this same issue I learned it’s quite easy. Good luck
and how is anyone supposed to help him when its a massive run on paragraph? and the title doesnt convey what the issue is because its cutoff when it could be shortened to convey it?
I.E. “intel 13/14th gen cpu error message” for the title. im not the only one who is confused by this problem with the ops message. when your dealing with hardware issues you NEED TO BE CLEAR AND CONCISE with your issue otherwise NO ONE knows what your issue is and you wont get any help or just vague slightly confused help. it nerds arent mind readers.
All i can recommend you do now is buy yourself AMD Ryzen 7 CPU or if you are in the cheap side get yourself Ryzen 5 5500 and you are Gucci.
I just got a new computer last month, and I get this warning every time I open WoW.
I just close the warning popup and continue on.
I checked using intel’s driver and system updater and there are no updates available for my system currently.

That’s even better if it works he will save money on new CPU.
BIOS updates have to be done manually.
Okay, where would I acquire this ox12b upgrade? I’m having trouble locating it.
