Would you pay $20 for a premium WoW sub?

hey, if you don’t want to play it, that’s up to you.

if you don’t want to pay higher sub fees for what is basically nonsense, then grab a pitchfork.

Except I won’t, because there’s no inclination that they’re going to raise sub prices lol.

Wait. When did loot boxes become content?

lol no. heck this game will probably be f2p in the next year, or two op. Then they will really cut loose the cash shop haha.

Why are there like three threads talking about an increased wow Sub or a premium WoW sub?

Whose dunder-headed idea was it to bring this into the public discourse?

Man, I wish I could enforce bets on this. I’d make a fortune from doomsayers.

Not trying to antagonize or anything here, but, at this point, aren’t Allied Races primarily cosmetic? And aren’t Activision using the lure of Allied Races in lieu of content right now? Essentially making Allied Races “content”?

I don’t know. Just throwing it out there.

Perks seem weird so
No.
Nothing there is anything I’d really want.
I’d rather spend that $5 extra on like… IDK. Sandwich. Maybe doing a few loads of wash.

All of the benefits you listed should exist in the current subscription price, so no.

The only thing you listed that I care about is the unlimited character slots and the extra hairstyles/race features… but I would probably pay $5 more a month for that.

Not gonna lie, if they added this kind of thing as a ‘premium’ incentive, I’d quit on the spot. Character customization is the core of immersion. I’m fine having to earn customization options. I’m not fine with having to buy customization options.

I would pay extra for live Legion servers. I wish they had the option to play the expansion you want to play.

I can’t take you seriously without thinking of the story you’re going to star in.

I don’t know what you’re talking about.

Depends on the scope of implementation -

If “WoW Premium” came with things like discounted/free services (services are cheaper, or you get one transfer/recustomization a month) then I could see it being an incentive for people who make use of those functions on the regular.

No thanks. I’m Canadian, I already pay $19 a month as it us.

Well the fact they are opening up more character slots on one server soon kind of puts one of those points out.

As for the rest, no. A majority of what you said are things that are provided in many F2P MMOs when you do decide to pay a monthly fee. WoW and FF Online are one of the couple games left that has a subscription and really in the current environment in gaming it’s really hard to justify it versus what other MMOs are doing for free. Do not get me wrong, I still very much so enjoy WoW, but I dabble in what other F2P games are doing and it does beg the question of even why bothering to pay $15 a month, let alone what you’re asking for a “premium”.

So do what EA typically does with their games? (One being a F2P MMO as well)
No, that’s a terrible idea and should never be considered under any circumstance.
