No I am not saying the premium sub would give guaranteed best gear, 100% cosmetic choices so your “lol so a pay to win sub” answer would be nonsense
For $20 a month you get:
Unlimited character slots rather than 50
You get to make many characters you want on 1 realm
Priority access to unobtainables names. So say I am no longer playing WoW, you want my name on Darrowmere, my realm, well all you do is submit a ticket and after everything is approved you get my name
Possibility more choices in hairstyles/race features
MVP title next to your name in game like how the MVP forum people have here
Color chat settings when you type
Have nicknames that displays when you talk in trade/LFG
Wow token subscription is not available for this
Once again: there’s no pay to win services (free mythic raid gear, easy leveling, damage boosts) I just suggested so you can’t claim it is
Uh they already do this, in fact any names that hasn’t played for 2 expansions is automatically freed up. The original person gets to keep it until someone else creates it. Sometime mid Legion in November 2017 they freed up names, I grabbed about 20 on both my merged servers with my second account.
Not a bad idea, but I feel the suggestions you offer like more hair-do’s, unlimited toons etc could be something added to the store, that way the money makers that use the game to pay for sub etc could continue this trend, as it’s popular, I do it myself, while still filling Blizz’s pockets with wad’s of cash. If you use your token to pay for a sub then Blizz got $20 for it anyway without the extras.
Would openly oppose this. People taking breaks from the game shouldn’t have to worry about losing their names to people paying an extra five bucks a month.
Or, better idea, we can stick with what’s in place now.
I cannot tell you the complete felstorm I’d have pitched if I’d returned from one of my deployments to find that my characters’ names had been taken away. Not only that, it’d be a PR nightmare for Blizzard.
That…right there. That’s what I would pay for. Not that $20.00 is a lot. It isn’t, but I would not pay extra for cosmetic things that I will never use.
