I’m not a fan of the unobtainable name aspect. There are plenty of original names if one thinks hard enough although I do dislike people who collect original names.

Actually that happens now. After a certain amount of time unsubbed your name becomes available again and someone else can take it. If you ever sub and log in again your name has some random numbers added to it and you have to pick a new one.
It’s two full expansions, which is about three years, bare minimum.
No. You’re the reason loot boxes exist in games to nickel and dime players to death. If we already pay a subscription, we should have access to all content.

If I had quit and lose my name’s, well that’s my fault because I decided to quit

Being unable to play and quitting are not the same thing. There’s a reason the amount of time required for a name to be automatically released is as long as it is.

No, I would not.
But I WOULD consider a “reduced” subscription. Fewer character slots (I barely play alts anymore anyway), some other restrictions, and only costs $5 a month (maybe $10, I dunno).
The less you charge, the less bent out of shape I get when I start getting bored and thinking “I paid ____ for this?”

Gear vendors that allow me to purchase the gear I want in less than 12 weeks
The removal of versatility as a stat

but you can find them trolling for higher sub fees in the classic forum… in the hopes it will keep you out of classic.
Good thing I won’t touch that nonsense with a thousand mile stick because I have no interest.
Regardless, there’s no need to up the sub price.
