Would you participate in a Solo q version of 2s?

So, just 1 round, no shifting of teams.

As a dps you can opt into playing with healer only, dps only, or either.

As a healer, you obviously only have one option.

I know 2s is fundamentally not as balanced as 3s, but the randomization of partners (nobody knows what/who they will get) plus rewards being based on spec (as it is in RSS/blitz) means the balance wouldn’t be as important as it currently is for the regular 2s ladder.

Also, being only 1 round and allowing there to be no healers or 1 healer I think would make queues quite a bit faster than RSS.

So, do you currently do 2s? Why or why not? If not, would this make you want to try solo q 2s? Thoughts?

why only 1 round though? i mean at that point id say just go into LFG and find a healer or dps and just play regular 2s

Listen, i don’t disagree, but clearly people absolutely HATE lfg (and let’s be honest, it’s pretty outdated and dead), and don’t like having to socialize to get a game going. Also, the participation levels of RSS vs regular 3s demonstrates this somewhat as well.

ive been saying this for like 10+ years now . LFG is an out dated archaic way to find other pvpers to play with. should have been removed a long long time ago. there’s literally no reason to use it unless your trying to pvp while in a shuffle queue

Just do what they should have done with 3s and shuffle.

Put the solo que right into the normal bracket. Then sure, why not?

Fast easy Qs for gearing or messing around with 1 friend.

Nope! I would totally Q flex 3s with another friend, though.

I would love Solo 2v2 because I think there’s too much going on in 3v3, and I can’t think clearly. But I would like Solo 2v2 to also have 6 rounds.

I see no reason why they can’t implement a solo q option right into the regular 2s and 3s bracket, but lets be honest, you will always be at a SEVERE disadvantage against premade teams in comms. I think what would happen is that many players would begin to feel obligated to make a team and largely resent that they have to play against premade groups at all. I can already see the endless forum posts complaining about being “gatekept” by premades…

That is why i think they should have both, a flex (regular 2s/3s option) and an entirely solo q option, like they have with RSS, but with 2s as well. Just my thoughts.

Honestly? Probably.

But you’d ahve to get rid of the 3s shuffle then, because you can not have PVP split between this many brackets.

This. I really miss playing this game, but the que times are just killer.

Solo bg was fun when it was 6 min queues, now it’s 35+ min. Makes people quit, makes problem worse. No real fix honestly

I get your concern here, but they could make it so you can’t queue solo q 2s and RSS at the same time. Have to choose one or the other so to speak. Idk what the other fix could work here honestly.

Yea my thinking was a bit flawed there, and I don’t really like that idea anyways. I agree it’s a lot of different content and splits the player base further which isn’t ideal.

I guess the alternative is to keep it as is though. Doing so though, IMO, will entirely kill the 2s bracket (I know some are ok with that) as we’ve seen this season. Since it shares rewards (up to elite) with other brackets, people are going to choose the path of least resistance and with deflation very heavy in 2s, that path has been RSS and Blitz.

I also think the lack of rewards at 2400+50 wins, and rank 1 for the 2s bracket destroys participation at the higher levels which has catastrophic consequences all the way down the ladder.

Simply put, they’re going to have to implement some kind of change whether that’s adding rewards, or adding solo-q because as it is, 2s is a dead bracket. And so, if you enjoy it…that’s a problem.

I’m cool with that, there has to be some sort of reward (a decent one not a freaking pennant), in order to encourage participation at the top.

Who cares? The solo players would have incentive to group but can still play without absolutely needing to.

It’s an MMO. It’s a social game. Even other games that aren’t as social don’t have solo que options. They have flex que, as it should be.
