Most satyrs appear as half-humanoid, half-goat creatures that stem from a cross between nature spirits and humans. Most satyrs are easily identified by their goat horns and goat lower extremities. Satyrs are known for their hedonistic tendencies. They typically lack restraint and will follow whichever of their fancies they desire at the time.
Hm. That is a good question. I want to say alliance because of their looks but the way you’re describing their personality I want to say horde.
so neutral?
I mean, I don’t know. Because I can’t imagine these things on the Horde side. They look very Alliance-like. But they could possibly go alliance because I am pretty sure on the Alliance side some races are like that. I am probably wrong because I don’t keep up with lore and such, but I guess they could be neutral.
so neutral or alliance. it would still be a nice option
I would play 1, immediately. Doesn’t matter where, how, even what classes they can be. I’m in.
they would probably be druids rogues monks and hunters
I’m good with any of those choices, but why not warlock-mage?
I think all future new Races should be neutral, now that we’re besties!
Aren’t satyrs corrupted something or others and purely evil? That’d be like asking for a playable race of Pitlords. I’d do it but it makes no sense lol.
Aren’t they kinda the “bad guys”? I’d say neutral, if anything. Can’t see Malfurion being happy with them on Alliance.
I’d say alliance because I’d imagine they’d have a connection to the Night Elves and be introduced by them
maybe they can reform and leave the demons
This isn’t what Satyrs are at all in this game. LOL
They’re Nelfs that fell to the curse. And they can be cleansed, albeit not easily. They’re not the type of race to be playable at all.
They’d basically be reskinned Draenei. It should be easy. Hopefully we’d get a lot more of their lore too.
actually if you google search them - the original Satyr was a god named Pan. COmpletely different lore and myths for their origin in real life
The most numerous and well-known rustic gods of the Greek world were the satyrs. They were wild and unattractive gods with equine features and a propensity for mischief and revelry.
As rustic gods, they were not confined to deep forests and un-traversable mountainsides, however. Rustic life was associated with the farmers, loggers, miners, and others who made their homes outside the influence of the cities.
The satyrs were the primary male nature spirits of the Greek world.
Their female counterparts were the [nymphs. While the nymphs were known for their beauty and grace, however, the satyrs represented a more animalistic side of country life.
On the whole, the satyrs were a rowdy group of nature gods who roamed through the rugged mountains and isolated rural villages of the Greek world. They were never seen in the more cultured urban areas, where their antics would have been unlawful and disruptive but could be glimpsed at times revelling in the forests and mountains
No, John, you are the demons!
Doom meme aside, yeah, they’re literally demons. They’re as likely to join a faction as Eredar, Sayaad, Nathrezim, Mo’aarg or Shivarra.
But hey, I do hope you Alliance get your Satyr. As long as Horde get any one of those other demons… or all of them… demon faction when, Blizz?
in greek myths they were low level gods not demons
Yes, in greek myths they aren’t demons. In WoW they are. They are Night Elves that were tempted by demonic powers, corrupted and twisted into demons.
This is Azeroth, not Greece
