I would really like to see Feral’s bleeds buffed a good bit, or really any buffs for that matter. We’ve had several builds with minimal changes and the community perception of Feral is not great right now.
I forsee the same situation that happened at BFA launch. Feral underperformed substantially so blizzard buffed them in a hotfix a few weeks after launch.
I think you’re right
I didn’t play until 8.2, what was the hotfix?
Reduced energy cost of a lot of abilities and made rip do a good bit more damage. We had a big issue of energy starvation with low damage output.
Some of that was also due to talents.
Primal wrath wasn’t an option yet.
So our main finisher in m+ became energy positive with SotF, and predator gave us more energy than we would possibly spend.
Good times.
Re work Talents into core abilities then giving us new talents would be cool. Like many other classes there are a few talents that should be mandatory.
I really like Primal Wrath and the rework of dot dmg to be time based was great.
More positive changes would be welcomed. For a while in every new expansion they took away from Druid/feral. I really like the class and its my main but getting something shinny would be awesome. (not counting covenant abilities).
I would also welcome a rework getting us away from Energy combo points so there is less of a feeling of rogue-lite. Although I dont know what this would look like - just a thought.
The problem with that is community perception of Feral is never going to change if Blizz keep adding hotfix buffs to a broken spec. I can understand if it happens every now and then but when it happens all the time, that’s a sign that you should probably just switch specs and/or classes.
Wouldn’t everyone?
I want to see a 5cp Moonsecute option for cats and a ragedump starfire for bears. :3 But on a more serious note, I would like to see feral and guardian move even further away from any and all resemblance to rogues and warriors. Becoming uniform mana-consuming forms is a great start. Spell usability in form would also be. I say that shapeshift forms should have useful interactivity to balance and resto specs. Balance having an alternative portfolio of cat and bear spells would be neat.
Which is exactly why I’m benching the druid come shadowlands. This’ll be my third alt at best.
Luckily for my druid, it looks like bear will be viable until the new lego is nerfed. And resto arena is actually pretty fun.
But if I have to DPS, this druid goes into hibernation.
Officially benching my druid, and contemplating if I’ll be playing or not. Only reason why I’m considering sticking around I finally found a great guild.
I do have a max level hunter, Paladin, and rogue. I’ll have to decide who to play between them.
Normally would go Hunt, but none of the mogs look good.
I’m just fed up with the state of Druid, but this will always be my number 1 fantasy class.
My personal, unsubstantiated belief is that we are running into the same situation as BFA. It is my belief that Blizz doesn’t have set team members responsible for certain classes but that it is a pool affair. Because of this it is my belief that Blizz has a priority system based upon a spec’s popularity - they start with the most popular and work their way down. This showed in the beginning of BFA. All specs lost their legion buffs. Blizz started working on the BFA adjustments, starting with the most popular. Due to the aggressive release the least popular specs went into BFA with no adjustments, just losses. IIRC Shamans were in the same boat.
SL is looking to be more of the same. Major features such as soulbinds, conduits, covenants, are not looking good according to some of the pundits like Preach. Fixing unpopular specs after release (ala BFA) so that more resources can be thrown at the xpac’s defining features makes good business sense.
Just today I used my 120 SL boost (still have 2 110s unused) to create a rogue.
Sorry, should have been on my druid.
I have been taking full advantage of the double xp to try out new classes. I see people levelling as feral too, makes me sad inside.
Yea definitely thinking of changing myself. I like to do mythic + more than raids so will probably end up going Rogue.
Yeah, totally agree. Too many typos in our tooltips.
Don’t worry though. Blizzard is going to get right on it as soon as they fix DH again
I’m primarily a m+ player so mostly I want them be balanced more with rogues. I was hoping that some buffs and shifting damage more into bleeds would help their overall numbers in m+.
I would also support feral gaining access to shroud haha
I’d love feral to be good, but looks like I’ll have to find a new main I just can’t justify being feral when we already have so many people wanting to play melee
