Would I be able to get a better explanation as to why I was permabanned?

My appeal was not successful and I just got some automated response. Why wasnt my entire bnet account banned if i was accused of botting and rmt?

Firstly - Appeals are reviewed by specialist GM’s and you would have received a templated response from them.

While never guaranteed, a forum moderator might be able to have a look and shed a little more light on your account action, when they’re on duty. You received a templated response. You are welcome to appeal again and also ask if they can provide a little more detail but they are intentionally vague for reason - it’s information the cheaters would love to have to help them avoid detection.

They tend to focus on the account that was flagged for investigation. While possible, it’s rare that an entire battle.net account is banned unless there is a history and multiple accounts under a battle.net account have participated in questionable things.

If anyone actually looked at my account they could have seen that the gold was legitamately farmed without bots, seeing how fast my account got banned i doubt they spent more than 5 minutes “investigating”.

Any level of automation or streamlining that process warrants a ban, even if it’s not full botting.

IF they did it’ll be because discussing account action is against forum rules. Nothing to do with censoring.

Human GM’s investigate before account action. You can plead your innocence all you want but won’t help you because your only way to appeal is by ticket (as you know), an even then it’s not an avenue to plead or argue your case.

So appeal again - you can keep appealing until you are told no more.

And here comes the ad hominem attacks. This would be why the thread will be locked down.

Players (forum regulars) are trying to provide you valid information - and if all you want to do is attack us then good luck on your appeals.

I was told “Just a note, we only review an action once any further requests on this topic will not be reviewed.”

My assessment on why blizz’s bot detection sucks isnt an adhominem attack, its a fact established by my experience with it.

This is though.

Well you did post in a player help player forum. Wouldn’t be much help if we didn’t play or enjoy the game would it?

Not blind, just informed and have understanding on many aspects of the game and such.

Yes, they’re not perfect, never gonna argue that - and for that reason they have the appeals process.

Which is why I said you can appeal again, and why I said a forum moderator might be able to provide a little more light on your situation when they’re on duty.

There really is no need to attack people in this forum. Name calling out of frustration is not the way to go. Just keep appealing the ban through tickets as nothing can be done on these forums.

Well, unfortunatly for you, it would seem that Warden disagrees.

What we do know about people claiming false positives is that (while they do happen), they are statistically less likely than the player presenting an fictitious version of events, accidentally cheating on the main account after only intending to cheat on an alt, or account sharing with someone who cheated.

Oh im sure you have these statistics on hand and they re not just made up.

They have always in the past if you kept appealing done more then several reviews of the account actions. Heard one person going up to 8 reviews. So never heard of only getting just one appeal!

Botting and RMT are very big in wow, they can either get you 6 months or a perma ban. If you got that ban then they collected evidence of that happening. Your not going to get any more then that!

Except i didnt get the evidence but the allegation?
