Please. 2023 Blizzard had as much to do with old WoW as any private server.
Yes, they have the rights to the IP. And look what they’ve done with it. Private servers treat the game (and the players) with far more respect.

Everyone is basing fresh lifespan off of som, which was a total train wreck, when private servers have been launching for over a decade and have 2+ years of life in them before they “end”. And the only reason they end is because a new one is coming

Phase 6 gear already needs a massive nerf. Phase 7 is just oof.
Blizzard was talking last night in their community council hardcore meeting about possibly changing more in Era in a pretty much they’ll change it completely way "based on feedback. (from those they want to listen to)
I’m not a fan of changes like that to Era but I know some people are so I wanted to say about it.
Although they were talking about the next season too. I got the vibe it’s going to be a “Vanilla” > tbc > Wrath one. If it’s that I’ll bail after the first part and there hopefully won’t be a bunch of trash changes that make the game way less fun from tbc or Wrath in it from day one.
They also said that people should not wait and should just play Era which did not leave me with a good impression of what the next season will be at all. Timestamp 20:20 in the video.

Yeah if it’s a 12 month season and each xpac is 4 months I won’t play at all.
Actually at that point I’d pack up and play other stuff which I’m doing rn anyways. Era is a great server but I’m not the type that can play it like it is now. It’s way too developed

I like to leave my options open but it’s hard for me to get “sucked into” Era as it is. At this time anyway.
Like I thought “Oh do I want to level a toon and rank it on the new Era system?” and even though summer is ending so I’m ok with playing a bit more and even though this is when the BGs will be popping so I may be able to have fun I just have no interest in spending my time doing that.
I’ve always thought the next season may be something I dislike, if that ends up being the case I’ll probably just keep doing other things while occasionally joining with those who ask for official fresh.
I cannot see why a season (maybe not the next one) couldn’t focus on an expac like TBC. If they aren’t doing a TBC Era server then at least a full season might go a little way to acknowledging those that feel left out. But a hypersquished run through?

Agree. Not too sure how I’d feel either. You’d have guilds scheduling every TBC raid in an effort to get a little bit more gear improvement.
So you’d be in SSC/TK and probably have mandatory Kara. You might even have guilds doing Kara during BT because they’re gear starved.
And then if it becomes the meta, you struggle to find a guild who isn’t scheduling all this crap.
Squish would feel bad, unless they increase the amount of loot coming from each boss to compensate.

The questions were mostly reflective of topics here in the forums - except for the dude from Grob. Asking about the Valley of Trials blackjack among other items for rp? Duuuude even I’m not that nerdy.
But for the next season? I’ve still no clue. But I got the really big feeling all y’all wanting fresh are gonna need to take hc and/or seasonal because Era is the only other option for playing through the original game.
