Would a Request to Remove Personal Information create a ticket?

I am concerned I might have requested to remove my personal information from my account (which is to say, permanently delete it) by mistake and I have been trying to discover how to cancel such a request.

However, it occurred to me that such a request should have created a ticket. I see I have no active tickets, which would imply I did not, in fact, make a request to delete my account information and I am safe.

I just wanted to double check that my reasoning is correct that a request to delete an account/remove personal information would create a ticket.

Not entirely sure a ticket is created when you request an account deletion

If you want to cancel that request, then follow the instructions on this page.

I saw that already and went through the process and it said it couldn’t cancel the request because there either was no request to delete my account, the deletion was not yet pending, or my account was already deleted.

I am still able to use my account. It said when it was pending I would be kicked out of my account and unable to log in.

EDIT: Here’s specifically what it said after I went through the process to cancel the account deletion request:

No Matching Request Found

We could NOT find or cancel this request for you. This is caused by one of the following situations:

  • No request was filed under the Battle.net Account you entered
  • A request was filed, but has not started processing yet
  • A request was filed and has already completed

Looks like you submitted many of these, Gloomgrin.

Some do appear to be in processing, but I’m not sure with this many requests exactly what the system may do.

I’d suggest opening a generic ticket. I do see the cancellation request which normally would be all that is necessary. What I am unsure of is how the system is going to react with this many requests.

Yeah I was confused because when I first went through the process to cancel the deletion request it said the same thing as above, that it was not able to find or cancel the request. When I went through customer support to try and speak with someone about it, it just kept linking me back to the same “Cancelling a Battle.net Account Deletion Request” page.

That’s why I came here to post this thread.

You say to open a generic ticket. How would I go about doing that?

Thanks for your speedy reply, it is much appreciated.

That’s a generic link if nothing else works. Be very specific in your ticket that you have several of these and you are afraid one might get through and it wasn’t your intention. That you tried to cancel it through the system.
