Would 2 accounts be against TOS?

Hi

Could I get banned/is it against TOS to use 2 seperate accounts with 2 seperate characters to farm herbs? The idea is that one character would follow the other and pick herbs.

Thanks!

No it isnt, enjoy.

…but wearing lederhosen while you’re doing it is fine

So long as you are inputting the commands for the separate characters yourself, iirc, it should be fine.

^ This is a real answer

this is what I intend/want to do; have 2 computers, 2 characters and let them follow each other, then manually pick each herb on each computer.

That sounds perfectly within the ToS/EULA if i’m not mistaken.

Just don’t eventually get ‘lazy’ and resort to using software to mimic commands for the second PC.

Hopefully I will get a blue post to confirm what people have written. Appreciate all the comments!

If anything, you’re more likely to receive a green. Just as good though, i’d take them at their word.

Yea any post like that would be great. Thanks

you don’t need one.

it’s fine.

as long as you’re not using software to automate things, it’s well within the rules.

I’d believe him too.

No it isn’t but if you are using follow it probably isn’t going to be worth the bother.

you can do it all on one computer, just run 2 instances of WoW. I do it all the time, you aren’t breaking any rules by doing this as long as you aren’t using key cloning software.

here’s the latest update from a few weeks ago, explaining what isn’t ok

what you want to do, is within the rules.

Use of software that sends the input to two different instances of WoW at the same time ( not to be confused with a hardware multiplexer which is still fine) is against the ToS now.
Having and playing multiple accounts (even using a hardware multiplexer) is fine.

You are allowed to have multiple WoW licenses on one Bnet account. The only part of multiboxing that was banned was input software.

Absolutely not against the rules. You could have 50 accounts to farm if you wanted to. As long as you don’t use broadcasting software to multibox them, you are fine.

No. Only broadcasting software is against the ToS. I play 2 to 3 accounts quite often, but I move my mouse between the screens.

Be careful though. Even things as innocuous as Autohotkey are against the updated ToS. I’m very happy they didn’t ban multiple accounts at once, but I wish they would have left the simpler software in place. I can live with the change though if it prevents the disruption some multi-boxxing has caused in the game.

What I can’t live without is my loot-a-rang. Would love to get that back the way it was. lol
