WOTLK would kill Classic

We’re on Phase 1.

Calm down.

My server is healthy and vibrant. WPvP everday and large scale WPvP almost 2 or 3 times a week. People are leaving because its simply expected for those who never played vanilla and tried classic but coukdnt take the level grind. Everyone knew it was going to happen. Your reason sounds like a personal frustration being projected on to something that has nothing to do with the real reason people are leaving. Lastly, Classic WILL not only endure, but will thrive cause the one big thing missing in retail is community. It doesnt exist in retail like it does in classic.

Retail is a boring, welfare lottery system set up for single player interaction with the occasional grouping with other players you will most likely never interact with again. Period.

This is hands down the cringiest post I have ever read. You’re literally just saying words. This is the work of a small child…

This post is exactly what we got from retail players when people talked about wanting another game (Vanilla). The irony…

Newsflash!

Just because subscriptions were highest does not automatically make it the best version of the game, just the most popular. You can argue that this could mean it was the best expansion, but there are many factors that come into why WotLK was WoW’s peek as far as numbers go.

Humans are very funny when it comes to popularity and majority. Wrath having the highest subscription numbers doesn’t mean it was the best. It just means they started losing subscriptions in the expansion(s) thereafter.

That’s like… your opinion man

More ironic that you’re pretending to be an advocate for Classic yet posting on a 71 undead priest.

It’s more like going to a movie and wanting the sequel before the first is even over.

Yes, because this must be my only character. Totally impossible for me to have others.

This is the character I post on all the forums with. Not just Classic. In theory I play retail as well (although I haven’t in a couple weeks)

In the worst case scenario’s, blizzard will fold servers together in order to preserve the player base for classic.

Although, there is still a fair number of players who will play classic owing to their distaste for the changes that began around TBC

But with all of that having been said, the point of classic wasn’t really to go back and reset everything the company has done over the past 15 years; rather it was to give players a window into what it was in the early days and as such I suspect it will always have a relatively small population going into the future.

yea that is more accurate, and in movie lingo, classic just finished the title sequence… so that is fairly early lol.

Just remember one thing. Pservers constantly reset. There are no fresh starts or reset in classic.

There is no repeat appeal.

Wrath was my favorite time period for WoW as well.

I’m playing Classic because it’s not Retail.

Same here!!!

But it was my favorite, best time I ever had in game. Loved every second and I have never used the subs as my justification for why it was the best.

First piece is good news, the second “show your facts.” you can’t spout something with out laying out the documented facts to prove it out. Especially since the most recent numbers that came out in fact has shown WOW gained millions of subs in august when classic was released.

This is TOTALLY cool! I enjoyed Wrath too. Everyone has an opinion. But the general consensus is that WotLK was the best because it was the subscription peak. Correlation =/= Causation.

Stop smoking weed is not good for health

I understand that but I have never heard anybody quote that when talking about why it was the best. It can be said that for many, it may have been the best based on the number of concurrent players and it is possible that correlation = causation.
