So?
The primary reason most of the people crying for rdf in wotlkc are crying for it is for “leveling alts” or to get radi for the “real end game” of raiding.

Right so heroics are not end game, raids are. Thus RDF doesn’t hurt the game whatsoever and should be included.
Hahaha really? So you think an opinion can’t make someone trashy?
So uh if you think CNN is bad… have you seen the jerks at Fox News?
But seriously I do think it’s hilarious that conservatives all use the same pick apart quoting tactic in replies.
Yeah, we need to keep wrath things out of wrath so we can add retail things to wrath.
It’s so stupid that this is their exact argument. Go play retail if you want Wrath features. Play Wrath if you want retail features.
So uh if you think CNN is bad… have you seen the jerks at Fox News
Both sides are bais and give half truths a lot of the time.
From personal experience CNN is even worse than fox, but both sides do it.
Thats why its important to do your own fact checking and not just blindly believe either side.
Bruh.
Calling CNN the commie news network makes you pretty damn biased. I think you barely have a grasp on what commie means other than “bad thing I was told to dislike”. CNN regardless of viewpoint is one of the furthest things from being “commie”… these are the folks who ran commercials in screen while reporting on Ukraine being invaded so they could sneak even more ad revenue in.
Really the issue is capitalism running rampant, but that doesn’t mesh well with conservative views. Every problem CNN or Fox “News” has is due with then chasing money.
Right so heroics are not end game, raids are. Thus RDF doesn’t hurt the game whatsoever and should be included
Notice the quotations here?
the “real end game”
It means some people only view the raids as end game, when it isnt the only part of end game.
But adding it does effect the game a lot. It effects content consumption rate for gearing and exp (and the type of content people will consume due to efficiency). It effects social interactions by removing a reason people make social connections. It effects open world participation in many ways, it effects how “replaceable” other players are, which effects social interactions. And it effects bots. If you dont think botters would not run in rdf you are wrong, just look at all the DK bots leveling through pvp BGs.
Really the issue is capitalism running rampant
Of course its all about money. They push the far left agenda to get money from them, which the far left gets from corrupt interactions while they are in power.
The right do the same thing in many cases.
Both sides are corrupt. So again, do your own fact checking, thats the best way to make an educated decision.
As a quick example a lot of people were happy at the thought of debt forgiveness for student loans. But they ignore a few factors.
If they really wanted to help people with student debt in the long run, they should be targetting the near predatory interest rates attached to their debt. (Not saying this is the best solution, but it would be better in the long run than what they are attempting to do)
But i think we should stop talking politics at this point as its not exactly a good topic for these forums.
For… my win rate, my knowledge of the law? What?
Watching Legal Eagle videos on YouTube doesn’t give mean you studied law and doesn’t magically grant you a win rate. Try harder.
If you think CNN is being even remotely truthful with their stories you should start fact checking them a bit.
I just told you I don’t watch tv news, unless it’s an extremely important breaking story I want to follow in real time. I rarely watch videos. I get my news from reading. Not just because I can get better information from reading but also because I can read much faster than anyone can talk. Why would I waste time watching the news? What news tv/videos do you watch? How much do you fact check them?
I learned I could read much faster than people can talk in early elementary school. The teacher would put the class in a circle and each person would read a couple pages of some book. As we went around the circle each kid took a turn. Most of the kids could barely read, but I was interested in the book so I started reading ahead. When it got close to my turn I was dozens of pages ahead of the group so I began to skim backwards to know where the class was in the book so I could read aloud when it was my turn.
I have occasionally watched all the major news channels and the major pundits just to see where the ignorant get their news and information from. But I didn’t watch them for news information. It was research into popular culture. I did the same with all popular culture. For example, I don’t like horror but it’s immensely popular so I occasionally watch the most popular horror flick out there to understand the masses. I don’t like Taylor Swift but I occasionally watch her videos to learn about the music that’s popular among the crowd.
The amount of whining about RDF amazes me lol. It’s not a feature that makes or breaks the expansion. Period. Thinking otherwise is just ignorant or delusional.
I don’t get the hate for the new LFG tool either. I legit mark what dungeons I want to run, write a little note saying I have gear, check the new player friendly check mark, and wait. Within a couple of minutes, I usually get an invite (and I’m maining a fury warrior too).
The only difference from RDF is I have to fly to the dungeon (or wormhole) and I only play with people on my server. The world feels a lot more alive with people flying to all the dungeons and I end up running with the same people a lot of the time, which leads to a fun dungeon atmosphere. What’s not to love?
So uh if you think CNN is bad… have you seen the jerks at Fox News?

I have watched Fox news and I gotta say, they seem to do a far better job at reporting. Those that seem to attack Fox seem to do so just because other people attack CNN. That which shouldn’t be how it is. One being terrible has nothing to do with political biased, its that one has had a habitual habit of getting caught in scandal after scandal along with bad reporting and practices. CNN tarnished their own brand name. That has zero to do with Fox. Supposedly the new CEO is trying to reshape and reimage CNN but i don’t know, i feel like the brand name is to tarnished to be redeemed.
Thank you! Exactly. Rdf is just an old out dated tool that made a mmorpg feel like a conveyor belt of loot, expy, and a handful of gold with no soul. I actually love my server. It seems alive, it feels aluve, and people are playing having fun. I don’t need some socialist, bottom of the barrel tool like rdf that treats me like I’m just justing in line waiting.
Hey, what are you doing?
Waiting.
For what?
My dungeon queue to pop.
Sounds exciting. I’m going to go got my own group. See ya.
Moral of the story. Rdf is the lazy man’s tool.
I don’t need some socialist, bottom of the barrel tool like rdf that treats me like I’m just justing in line waiting.
All you’re showing here is how your political ideology colors every aspect of your life. There’s nothing socialistic about rdf. It’s not facist, democratic, liberal, conservative, capitalist, communist etc. You don’t even have a clue what socialism is. And if you just sat in line waiting for the queue to pop that tells us something about you and nothing about the tool. You chose to sit in a queue and wait. I chose to go out into the world and quest or farm while in the queue. That tells us the difference between you and me but it doesn’t tell us anything about the rdf tool
Moral of the story. Rdf is the lazy man’s tool.
Pretty much /thread. People are whining there’s no automated solution to every effort they may have to exert.
I have watched Fox news and I gotta say, they seem to do a far better job at reporting
This is a simple minded statement from a simple minded person. Almost everything in the world is more complex than the ignorant suppose. For example every 24 hour news channel, fox, cnn, msnbc, is a mix of what they call “hard” news and pundit commentary, which is just one person’s opinion on various issues they consider important. Any discussion comparing the major news channels has to start with separating their “hard” news division and their pundit commentary division. Nothing in your post is worth reading because it’s ignorant, a simple and superficial take on a complex situation.
Moral of the story. Rdf is the lazy man’s tool.
That’s stupid.
Because RDF is absolutely terrible and was one of the problems that ruined the experience of WoW at least for me. Don’t get me wrong, on paper the idea is fantastic. Easy queues for dungeons, less work for the player, and a seamless experience. In reality however this is not the case.
The dungeon finder removed all social aspects from dungeons. There were no communications between people, nobody cared to help others through; if you were bad you were kicked without second thought, especially if you were dps. It feels absolutely terrible for the person trying to improve and other times it feels terrible for the group because it encourages botting and people playing like trash knowing if they get kicked they can just requeue. The amount of times in retail I was paired with others that never cared made the dungeon ironically harder and less enjoyable.
LFD made dungeons into a job, and not for enjoyment like it honestly is now. Yeah you have to put work into finding groups but guess what? That is how it was at the start, and it is far more improved now that it was before. Getting into a dungeon now feels rewarding, there is real communication between others finally unlike in Retail, and because of the very, very slight difficulty in getting into a group, people are more likely to care, and it is rare I find bots in dungeons now, and if there are bots and I never realized it, it is because the rest of the group put in the effort for a smooth run. Now onto the raid finder.
Raid finder set a scale of difficulty so low that it discouraged others from doing actual raids due to the jump in complexity, and once people have done the normal difficulty raids, going to the RDF seems slow and boring. Completing the raid removed that special feeling I used to have that I definitely have now. Killing Kel’Thuzad as a tank or dps, or healing the raid through a real raid I had to truly participate in to complete felt rewarding, and I believed I deserved that victory, and still feel that way every single time. Naxx 10 or even Naxx 25 is not hard, but it’s at least challenging enough to make me feel victorious. LFR is a joke and makes the entirety of WoW feel bland in comparison.
I hope Blizzard never brings back raid finder because if they do then one of two outcomes will come along. The first is either the raid will feel so easy because they have to scale it down to the level it is in retail, or they keep the raids difficult and enjoyable, but near impossible to finish with the amount of people that join and do not care about performing adequately. And yes so much emotion was put into this because of how strongly I dislike RDF. WotLK IS WotLK now and is more WoW than Retail can aspire to ever be again.
The dungeon finder removed all social aspects from dungeons.
I don’t know why people use this argument, when the proper argument is that RDF has a higher chance of putting you into groups with bads. Then with the Deserter debuff you’re penalized for not grouping with bads.
