Don’t you think this is kind of ironic when the status quo is no DS?
Read my very next sentence after what you quoted
Shadowlands didn’t have dual spec. Lfg was in wotlk, as was dual spec… and a lot of ppl want wotlk and for good reason.
i am not arguing if it was a good reason or not , i am arguing that people knew that dual spec was not a thing in TBC but they are still here to complain. obviously TBC was not the expansion you wanted and you should wait for the next one
You keep claiming the slippery slope thing is invalid, and I agree, but people in this thread are still using it as justfication:
Whether it’s invalid on paper doesn’t stop people from running with it.
I’ll give the devs the benefit of the doubt that they don’t, as a whole, consider it a worthy point. But it’s not a stretch to imagine casually tossing this rationale (consciously or not) as a sort of “eh, what the hell, why not?” onto an issue they’re see-sawing. It can absolutely act as in influence, if not a determining factor.
Should we add pandas, death knights and demon hunters to?
After all, what’s your point?
That’s what I did. Made my three characters when it opened for classic and waited for TBC. I knew vanilla wasn’t for me, so got my names and played other stuff until TBC showed up.
you’re doing it now, are you not?
because i didnt ask for tbc+? i want to play tbc. you can have the different variation of the game on your own servers where people think like you. stop trying to ruin my experience though.
These forums aren’t yours tho dude. Insecure much?
No, my argument is that it would disenfranchise the players who would like to play the game as it was as closely possible. But go ahead and ignore that like Ziryus and make it out to be only because the fact that it didn’t exist until wrath if it makes you feel better about your selfishness.
Go ahead and cherry pick if you wish. It doesn’t invalidate my opinion. And yes you are certainly entitled to yours.
No, I’d like it now. If you don’t like it, don’t use it. Pretty simple, eh?
We’ve already abandoned that the moment Blizzard announced #somechanges. Remaining close to the original material becomes exceptionally subjective when you provide a caveat for making changes that are decidedly not part of the original material. Blizzard will make whatever calls it wishes to make and while we can likely bet pretty good money on things like Death Knights and Challenge Modes never being implemented into TBCC, things like the Mount/Pet Tabs, Achievements, and Dual Spec are decidedly different alterations to the game.
- Rebalancing PvE/PvP isn’t out of the question: see Paladin seals, Drums, PvE boss tuning, PvE pacing, Feral Druid retuning, and Hunter AP changes from Classic
- Changes to underlying systems aren’t out of the question: see HvH BGs, Ally Participation Quest, Layering, Spell Batching, and broad Arena modifications
- Luxury systems aren’t out of the question: see Boosts and the special goodies from the BNet store
If you feel “disenfranchised” from any movement away from the original, you should already feel disenfranchised to a large degree. If you’re still playing, that “disenfranchisement” is of little meaning or consequence.
This renders your argument to be nothing more than a #nochanges argument with a heavy helping of personal preferences all over the top. People are free to disregard your personal desires for wanting #nochanges, especially when Blizzard has already repudiated it.
It does. Your personal preference is you cleaving to an ideal that was decidedly ignored by Blizzard. You’re only going to be left further and further behind as Blizzard finds other things to modify, change, or alter, in the pursuit of better serving their players according to their own metrics.
Dual Spec can easily be a part of that with no further explanation.
Nope, my opinion is solid.
Dual spec came in Wrath and that’s exactly where you’ll get it again. Hold on to that thought, it’s just over a year …… soon.
Not playing. Because Blizzard borked up doesn’t justify more of that rubbish.
Get over yourself.
It directly contradicts with one of the major bullet points of the announced TBCC: Some Changes. Your opinion is that a defining feature of TBCC shouldn’t have happened…
Good luck!
Oh, then enjoy having no substantive worth in this discussion!
Like everything is written in stone.
So let’s get this straight. If I do play, my opinion is worthless to you. If I don’t play, my opinion is worthless to you. BUT I bet if I held your stance on this, it wouldn’t matter to you if my cat typed this…
Get over yourself clown.
#SomeChanges
Dual Spec for TBC Classic! Make it happen, Blizzard!
This one is easy because unless they hard revert everything and make an announcement that we are returning to a more authentic TBC, “Some Changes” is set in stone.
Pretty much since you have an illogical and silly opinion, which is the point. You’re wrong regardless of whether you play or not.
Nope, get lost.
You’re silly! Go back to Classic you grump!
