Here’s something interesting to think on too, we see lots of complaints saying that the game isn’t the same because the community is different… YET they say DS won’t work because back in 2008 or whatever it didn’t work because nobody wanted to play tank.
How can things simultaneously be fundamentally different but yet somehow the same results would incur?

I play a ele shaman in raids for my guild but sometimes we need a healer so who has to respec I do. The guild pays for it but still what a waste of 50 gold.
I don’t think it will fix the tank problem. Really will only work for guild dps who can tank and are willing to tank for their group. Or maybe a ret pally who isn’t getting invited to a group and wants to do the daily.
It will help heals I believe. Healing is easier and less stress than tanking.
People who play Arena and raid. Most raid specs are not good for Arena and you got to switch to be optimal.
So many benefits to dual spec.

with this logic : shadowlands is where everything we wanted was introduced, go play retail, dual spec, LFG, guild banks etc

Unfortunately Wrath is when bad game design was also introduced. Dual spec was one of the few things that wasn’t showing downward trajectory. Dual spec was good enough that when it was introduced, I realized this should have been in the base game.
Add it to TBC, the superior expansion.
I mean we cant whait until wolk to have dual spec …
And we don’t need to wait either. We’re not on some arbitrary timetable.

It has nothing to do with age. Many people want to play the game as close to the original as possible. Back then if you wanted a tank or healer you leveled an alt and you can do the same today. You are trying your hardest to paint a bias picture. No one wants you to play the game like them, they want you to play the game like it was released.
Hey man, we already made 1 change, why not just delete TBC and install shadowlands on everyone’s PC? Makes sense to me.
Go back to retail.
