Yes. We need paid race change and paid faction change. Original WOTLK had them. It gives Blizzard money and it’s convenient for players. More players want them than players who do not want them.

Wotlk was by far the most popular expansion.
I think faction changes would be super important to keep the community happy. I have friends coming to play wotlok but they all rerolled alliance on another server and now I can’t play the character I put so much time into. They could put restrictions on it to make it so people can’t swap a whole bunch.

They should allow them in the shop with a 90cd per account.
This allows Blizzard to make money, for servers to balance themselves, and prevents the mass misalignment from the service.
It would only work if it had a 3mo CD at least and limited usage, otherwise we would get the mass skews like retail again.

Yes, there’s no reason for it not to be. It was in OG Wrath and doesn’t affect server/faction balance.
Yes, providing it’s accompanied by proactive locks to prevent servers becoming too one-sided. Maybe even offer a free one for megaservers like Benediction Alliance to incentivise people to try and balance them out a bit.
Race change, maybe a 30 day CD if any. It’s not impactful enough to warrant much restriction.
Faction change should be limited to 2 per character. Give people the ability to revert the change if they want, but don’t let them abuse it by changing every couple months.

You can simply reroll. You’ve enjoyed WOTF for 3 years. It would be total BS if after enjoying the super OP horde racials for 3+ years you could simply pay $30 to change to human and enjoy the OP human racial.
90% of the people saying yes are hordies wanting to change to human for Will to Survive. Its why none of you were calling for a race change in TBC. Only now that humans get a racial that is consider the best, do you all want to switch over.
I made a human 3 years ago. Been suffering against orcs this entire time. And now stun resist is getting nerfed while humans are finally getting buffed and you simply want to race change over?

At the minimum I think faction changes should be available with restrictions as needed. I’m in the position where I started playing wow in p5 classic. I fell in love with the game and my character and she’s been my one and only raiding toon since I started raiding. I have so many memories and history and accomplishments on her.
I’ve server transferred twice because of dead servers and massive faction imbalance, not because I was getting murdered by horde but because there was no one left to raid with. Everyone good transferred to bene or grob.
I’m now in the position where my guild isn’t doing so well and my friends who had stopped playing instead of transferring a second time are making a guild for wrath. But I don’t want to abandon my main with almost 2 years of memories on her just because they wanted to make horde. So now I get to choose between playing with my friends, or playing the character I love. Or quitting. Every option sucks

With no faction change, my warlock is basically stuck on Arugal. The ally population is dwindling and the scene is quite dead and I couldn’t find a guild that raids late night. I was looking forward to faction change so at least I can do some late night raiding at the horde side. I don’t mind paying to transfer to US servers but the latency is pretty high and kinda ruined the gameplay experience. I really regret not playing horde back in 2019.
Since they are allowing you to make alliances and horde on the same server. I am totally for faction changes and race changes in the game. The only thing I am not a fan of is allowing people to name change because of the feature. I would make it so people that race changes keep the same name and people get like 3-month CD on faction changes.
Yep, seems like they are not adding faction/race change just to force people to buy the 70 boost. They don’t realize that some people may have professions maxed or pvp titles or mounts collected and would like that character to change race. Blizzard REALLY want everyone to play the game as long as possible for more sub money. That is why they force everyone to do the same boring crap over and over. Compared to FF14 where you can have everything on one character and swap between them freely without having to pay $50 everytime you want to try something new.
