That’s because they know they screwed up, but are too proud to admit it.
Wouldn’t that be nice? Maybe then I could play this abandoned toon with actual people. The entirety of Westfall Horde are flippers.
This same cc member made a thread specifically about RDF awhile ago and the overwhelming feedback was that something beyond just a LFG Tool was wanted, whether that was just RDF or some modified version of it or something else.
Either that feedback didn’t make it to blizzard or they ignored it, neither of which makes the CC seem very relevant beyond just parroting blizzard.
As that related to this thread, great thanks for the info, i’m sure our feedback will not matter on it either.
Consider asking what plans, if any, are being made for the Classic Era realms once this tbc consolidation event is over. I recognize they have retired the cloning service and are currently running into some technical issues for characters being moved to the consolidated progression realms. Once that quagmire gets resolved there shouldn’t be any trace of the unactivated clones and I would expect realm connections would be much easier to implement on Era realms.
This is an unrelated request but also consider bringing up the possibility of an annual Scourge Invasion for Classic Era. Many players have alts or started their toons in Era and thus never had the chance to collect the exclusive Undead-Cleansing/Undead-Slaying sets, powerful weapon imbues, or see the unique dungeon boss spawns.
Thanks!
All they had to do was relaunch WOTLK as it was, but of course they can’t help themselves and need to mess with it.
Imagine getting handed the most popular expansion in the game’s history and saying, “Now is the time for changes!”
LUL they are gonna rebalance Wrath? Why? Who asked for this?
If nothing else, this thread has aligned all of us who have been at each other’s throats for the past few months to tell Blizzard to Stop Changing Things
Impressive when you think about it.
No one asked, council community probably thought it was a slick idea and pitched it for no reason.
There’s nothing for them to do. LK is dubbed one of, if not the best expansions. I swear they have like a dart thing where they take an aim on what they should remove or change while drunk off their faces.
Blizzard should fix the trash that is currently retail before changing anything iLvl related in Classic. Retail in its current state will never get out of Alpha with balancing.
“we’re gonna stat squish”
everyone hated that
Thanks for the communication. You discussed the right topics, don’t let these forums tell you otherwise.
They did changes to vanilla and tbc as well. Nothing new with changes.
Its the magnitude of some of the changes, they have undeniably ramped up the amount of changes for LK over the previous two classic releases. A lot are mad about RDF but can easily live without it. Now a major stat squish? that actually matters more to the core game than almost any change we have had so far in classic/TBCC.
The ToC ilvl squish is a horrid idea. While it wasn’t stated how large the squish would be, the rationale just doesn’t make sense. If similar gear can be gotten in the previous tier, it makes the new raid feel more like a catchup raid like ZG/ZA more than a meaningful new raid.
The point about ICC difficulty also doesn’t make much sense. You don’t want to remove the scaling ICC buff because of potential harm to more casual guilds, but are doing effectively the same thing in the spirit of being more challenging for top guilds. Just tune up heroic ICC if that’s the goal?
As far as the pvp meta implications, why not just have ilvl scaling specifically for arenas then? Solves the issue of people who only want to pvp having to make time for raids. If the pvp meta is something you actually care about, maybe work on that specifically.
Or realize that while the community at large is okay with #somechanges, they are usually in favor of quality of life improvements and not changes to how the game fundamentally works. (Hint: having to go back to old raids for 1 or 2 items isnt fun. Nobody liked farming thunderfury/ onslaught girdle in AQ patch).
Tl;dr Loot changes are a bad idea that makes an already dry raid tier, that you have already gutted with lockouts, feel even more pointless. Oh also faction balance is a meme on pvp servers. Nobody likes world pvp, and the current state of the realms confirms this.
The devs had topics they wanted to talk about, we worked with what we had.
So, they basically only gave us what they wanted to give us. Nothing more. Nothing less.
What a waste of a topic. Outside of us getting to know they want to rebalance the game (DON’T) the only thing that matters is RDF.
The devs had topics they wanted to talk about, we worked with what we had.
I don’t know why they are so silent about the RDF issue.
I think we all know why they are so silent about the RDF issue…
That is an awful change. Tell these monkeys they dont know better than the OG dev team, and to stop making their trash retail changes to classic or we’ll stop giving them money.
There was a live chat between the Classic Community Council members and the Classic Devs yesterday and I wrote a list of what was discussed here.
I am reposting here for visibility and to have a place for people to discuss it.
None of theses are guarantees, don’t shoot the messenger and we only had 1 hour so we didn’t have time to cover other topics such as RDF, cooldown resets, arena rating/points, etc.
Please try to keep it focused on what was discussed, I understand the frustration regarding RDF but this isn’t what this thread should be about.
Thank you.
If they weren’t asked about RDF then its 100% a waste of valuable time.
RDF is THE biggest subject about wrath right now and the Majority are very vocal about it.
