weeks ago they told you it wasnt coming, and that they wanted you to know it wasnt coming so you could plan on it not coming.

I know this will be disappointing news for some, but we want to settle this topic before launch so everyone knows what to expect and can plan accordingly.

Seems pretty clear here they told you to plan accordingly, and they view the topic as settled.
