So I’ll start by saying I have a couple 80’s and leveling the first one was fun and fine. The problem comes as it moved later and later into the season leveling has became less and less fun and you see it as more dead content. I’m on a higher pop server yet you don’t see anyone out doing much. You see them at dungeons and at Dalaran. Blizzard has killed being able to have alts and leveling later. 1-70 is dead and really 70 - 80 you might be able to find groups but it’s a rare thing. They need to look at the state of classic and think you have 2 types of people. 1) the elite a*s hats who go around and say things like “Get good”, “You can solo that”, “Your parse isn’t high enough” or 2) the player who wants community but isn’t player 1. Player 2 is the one who is ok with RDF because 3/4 of the fun was playing other classes and leveling. Yet player 1 is the one who cries and needs your attention. The current LFG tool while you might think is great was only great when leveling at the start. This is why the RDF was put into the game. It came as wow numbers were starting to slump (like classic ones are now) so that it would provide a better experience for players. You’ve missed out on people and currently trying to get others to join in the game isn’t fun for them as players because they can’t level in a fun and meaningful way.
Paragraphs are your friend, here’s what you wrote but it doesn’t kill us all.

I didn’t read any of that, but wrath leveling is easy.
Easy != not bad.
What’s bad about it?
It’s a solo player experience in an MMO.
So it’s just a subjective bad.
No, it’s a solo player experience in an MMO.
Ok but have you ever considered getting good?
We can only assume people don’t want to group with you because you’re a known thief or griefer.
I have never encountered the problem you’re having, therefore it does not exist.
Peak comedy, thanks for the laugh
Leveling was never WOWs strength, vanilla and early expansions they were grindy and boring. As time went by, it was at least quicker in later expansions… I don’t care if leveling takes a long time, as long as it’s fun.
Bring back joyous journey!
True but the major thing is people aren’t doing it so finding a group for any dungeon below 80 is a quest in of itself. I think a lot of this is coming from Blizz isn’t playing it themselves and aren’t seeing how leveling is. They’re only seeing a select few and only care about what a select few cry about.
Peak satire, thank you. Clearly this doesn’t happen to you as you are a good person, and bad things do not happen to good people like yourself.
It’s so nice to have somebody who really gets me <3
LOL when WoW came out I was so glad wow questing was so quick and easy compared to the other MMORPGs of the time. In WoW you not only could level to cap solo! you actually had quests that could get you most of the way there vs having to sit in a corner and grind for 60 levels!
I still think Wrath was the best combo of ease vs challenge in all of MMORPG history.
It’s interesting when people talk about Vanilla who clearly never played back then, or especially mmos before it. It was the most casual, accessible mmo…by a landslide.
Im seeing tons of people leveling, but ofc I just reached 30. I will see how it goes in the higher levels, remember having a guild helps a lot. The one I am in is kind of like all us are leveling at a similar rate, we started in our 10’s and we are all in our 30’s now.

Don’t you ever get tired of being wrong? I played vanilla all the way til like lvl 48 and was burnt due to the abysmal boring leveling experience. I don’t care about prior MMOs either… or what WOW was considered to be in comparison. Those old style MMOs IN MY OPINION are HOT GARBAGE and wouldn’t be caught dead playing them…

All “MMORPG” history? Did you play SWTOR? I can’t imagine anyone who played both and would EVER take WOTLK’s leveling experience over it.
I’ll gladly take the current leveling experience in DF over anything WOW has ever done… they’ve always been weak in the leveling experience.
